If I Ruled The World

Sejin called a meeting to discuss the group's future, on Bang PD's order. He had wanted to promote all the members of the group and make sure that the audience knew them all.

"I think it's important that you have your own solo stage names," Sejin started. "It will help you to establish your own identities as individual artists."

The members looked confused by his words, so Jimin asked, "Solo stage names? What does that mean, hyung? Don't we already have our stage names?"

Sejin smiled. "Yeah, you do have your stage names as a member of BTS. But what if you wanted to do something on your own, like making your own music? You'd need a name that represents you as an individual, not just as part of the group."

Yoongi mumbled under his breath, "No one listens to us as a group, why would they listen to us individually?"

Namjoon nodded to Sejin's words. "Ah, I see what you mean. So, we'd need stage names for when we're doing solo activities."

Sejin continued, "Yes. It's a way for the audience to know you as both a member of BTS and as an individual artist. Plus it will help your fans to get to know some of you more and their attention on all of you will be equal."

"Some of us only?" Seokjin asked. 

Sejin explained, "Yeah. Most of your fans have favourites, which is not particularly a bad thing, but sometimes this makes them only pay attention to their bias and not the other members. So PD-nim wants equal attention on all of you and he wants to do that by giving some of you solo stage names."

"Who among us will be getting solo stage names?" Hoseok asked excitedly. 

"Well, I do have a list of solo stage names for all of you but only Arin and Yoongi need it. The rest of you can still choose from the list if you want a solo stage name, although I think it's not required," Sejin replied. 

The members looked at each other, surprised. Arin and Yoongi exchanged a glance, a bit taken aback. "Why us?" Yoongi asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Sejin shrugged. "Let's just say, Bang-nim thinks your solo stage names will help you stand out more as individuals, giving fans a chance to appreciate your unique talents and charm." 

Arin raised an eyebrow. "We're the underappreciated and overlooked members, isn't it?" she spoke honestly, her eyes carrying sadness.

Sejin laughed, "Not at all! It's just that..." he trailed off, trying to find better words. "Well, you two have a certain...presence. A unique aura that needs to shine brighter." 

The other members chuckled, and even Arin and Yoongi couldn't help but smile. They knew Sejin was just trying to explain things in the best way possible.

"You're such a bad liar hyung," Yoongi admitted, a grin spreading across his face. "Just say we're the hidden gems."

Sejin laughed. "Something like that," he said. "Now, let's see what we have here." He pulled out a piece of paper with a list of names written on it. "Here are some suggestions for Arin," he said, reading from the list. "Nova, IU, and Seren."

After hearing the list of names, Arin sat in silence for a moment, thinking. She liked the sound of all the names but something about "IU" felt special. "What do the names mean? Do they have any meaning or...?" she trailed off.

Sejin smiled. "Good question! Nova means 'new star,' which I thought would be fitting for a star like yourself. IU stands for 'I and You.' It could show the connection between you and your fans."

"And Seren?" Arin asked, curious. 

"Seren is a Welsh name meaning 'star,'" Sejin explained. "It has a beautiful sound to it, don't you think?"
