Skit: On the Start Line

Sunlight glimmered through the dorm windows, a sign of dawn. The alarms rang loudly in both the girls' and the boys' dorms, causing the members of the budding group to stir from sleep, the promise of a new day filling the air with anticipation.

After a quick breakfast, the eight members gathered in the meeting room. Sejin, the group's recently appointed manager, cleared his throat. "Today, we're going to start discussing some crucial details," he began, his voice carrying a sense of ambition. "Let's start with the roles and positions of each of you."

The members exchanged glances, their minds racing with possibilities. "We've been carefully considering your strengths and weaknesses," Sejin continued. "Based on our observations, we believe the following roles would best suit each of you."

He began to assign roles, starting with the eldest member. "Seokjin, you'll be one of the singers." Seokjin nodded, a shy smile on his face. 

"Yoongi, you'll be the rapper and producer of the group," Sejin announced. "Your skills in songwriting and composition are invaluable. And as you know, we value unique artists. We also give them the freedom to do a lot of things as compared to other companies, so you have the privilege of composing your own songs." 

Yoongi nodded, joy swirling in his eyes. He had worked hard on his music which was his passion and also the love of his life, and he was glad his efforts and hard work were recognized.

"Hoseok, as for you, you'll be a rapper too. You can use the studios for composing music. Also, we think you're very talented in dancing, so you're allowed to choreograph the group's choreo alongside Sungdeuk-ssi," Sejin said. Hoseok grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He loved to dance and rap. This was just the perfect agreement for him.

Sejin turned to Arin, a knowing smile on his face. "Arin, you'll be a rapper AND vocalist of the group," he announced. Arin opened her mouth to protest but Sejin continued, "Your talent and versatility are invaluable assets." 

Arin's eyes widened in surprise. She had never considered herself an amazing rapper, but she knew that Sejin had faith in her abilities. And she was determined to not let him down.

"Namjoon, you'll be the leader of the group, as discussed previously," Sejin continued. "You'll be responsible for making decisions and guiding the team. And you'll also be one of the rappers. You can also compose your songs." 

Namjoon accepted the role of a leader with a determined nod. He knew this was going to happen, and he had accepted it. As for being a rapper, he was elated to be able to contribute to songwriting and composing music, which was his dream since childhood.

"Jimin, you'll be a vocalist," Sejin announced. "Your vocal talent and your high pitched voice are exceptional." Jimin nodded, his cheeks flushed with pride. He had worked hard to practice his singing, and he was glad his efforts finally paid off.

"Taehyung, you'll be a vocalist," Sejin continued. "Your deep baritone voice will show the versatile nature of this group." Taehyung smiled, his eyes twinkling with excitement. He was keen to showcase his talents.

Finally, Sejin turned to Jungkook. "Jungkook, you'll be a vocalist, and the centre of the group. It's a big responsibility as the maknae, I know, but you should know...you're very talented." 

Jungkook's heart swelled with pride. He had worked hard to improve his singing, even practicing singing while running on the treadmill, so he was thrilled to be recognized as a vocalist. Being the centre was an honor for him. He was grateful for everything.
