Should I let my heart be free,
Like the sky above the endless sea?
You're the sun, shining so bright,
I'm the moon, following your light.
Do I reach, like stars in the dark,
Or stay quiet, hiding my spark?
Will you meet me in this sky,
Or will my love just pass by?

Your love feels like the ocean wide,
Waves that rise and fall inside.
I stand here on the sandy shore,
Wondering if there could be more.
If I swim out into your sea,
Will you reach back for me?
Or will I drift and lose my way,
Chasing you in the break of day?

In the night, the stars shine clear,
But do you see me standing here?
You're the breeze, soft and wild,
And I'm waiting, like a hopeful child.
Will you come like rain to the ground,
Or leave me waiting, not making a sound?
I'm thirsty for love, like dry earth,
Wondering if I'll ever find its worth.

There's a fire in me, burning bright,
But is your heart ready for its light?
I see the spark in your eyes,
But is it real, or just in disguise?
I'd give you the sky and every star,
But will you stay, or wander far?
Am I just a passing flame,
Or do you feel the same?

So tell me now, before it fades,
Do we share the same shades?
Are we two hearts, side by side,
Or stars that can't collide?
I'd give you all, from dawn to night,
If you promise to hold on tight.
But if we're meant to drift apart,
I'll keep my love, safe in my heart.

Hi my dear Love Squad!

This poem, "In the Sky of Us", is all about those moments when you're just not sure if someone feels the same way, but your heart is filled with so much love that you're ready to take the leap anyway.

I was inspired by the idea of love being like the sky and sea-vast, deep, sometimes confusing, but always beautiful.
