"Devashree! Devashree!" Her mother called her noticing her fixed gaze at Gandhar.
Devashree asked cursing the person who just broke her romantic eye contact with her future 'अहो' not realising it was her own mother.
(Translation: Ha, what happened?)
Her mother asked.
(Translation: Where are you lost?)
Mera chain vain sab ujdaa...... Her heart sang.
She replied dreamily thinking she was saying it all in her mind not knowing she was loud enough for all of them to hear.
(Translation: In your Son-in-law)
"Huh!" They heard Gandhar who was looking at her with wide eyes while she tried to hide her face which was red because of embarrassment and also because of the blush which coated her cheeks.
Getting teasing looks from all, both Devashree and Gandhar sat on the sofa besides each other quite awkwardly.
Abhijeet stated his point in front of Purvaja.
(Translation: We have already fixed the dates of the wedding and it is decided to conduct the engagement at home, but we wanted to discuss a little about the expenses and rituals to be followed.)
Purvaja said.
(Translation: Yes, you're right. We have only two people from our side except the groom, me and my son Chaitanya. As you are already aware that my sister and brother in law are no more and we have not been in contact with other relatives. So, there no need to do anything more. And we'll handle the expenses of our side. Let me know how many people from your side will attend the wedding so that everything can be decided accordingly.)
Abhijeet said while Aparna gave a slight nod to her husband.
(Translation: No we don't have any relatives. Consider only two of us from our side too. We'll handle the expenses of our side.)
Purvaja said.
