Ch. 20: Home Attack Part 2

At the Owl House, Luz landed and stood up.

"I got the house to myself, what to do."

With Eda busy and King with her, she could do whatever she wished in the house. Even with Hooty being here as well.

"Well, guess I can help clean." Luz said, before flying at high speed and cleaning the entire house in a few seconds, "Well... now what?"

Luz heard something and groaned, there was a large group coming to the house, most likely after her.

"That's the second time today someone is coming to capture me."

Luz turned on her feet and walked out of the house to wait for them, crossing her arms with a look of annoyance in her face. No surprise, it was Lilith. This time, with about a battalion of coven members by her sides.

"There is the human." Lilith said, pointing to Luz.

"You're really going to do this, huh?" Luz asked, pretty annoyed at this.

"You caught me off guard before but now, I am ready for you and I am not alone." Lilith said as the coven members began spreading around Luz.

"Okay, let's make this quick." Luz said, punching the ground and making it shake.

The guards fell to the ground.

"Alright, who's first to get their ass knocked out!?" Luz asked.

"Stand up, men! Don't let her intimidate you!" Lilith shouted as they slowly stood back up.

"Okay, I'm already annoyed by this." Luz said before taking in a deep breath.

Luz blew a mighty wind at the coven squad as they tried to stay standing, only for them to begin to ice over and freeze!

"Next!" Luz said.

Lilith used her magic to free herself and rushed to Luz at lightning speed, getting behind her and attacking but Luz raised her arm to block!

"Mmm!" She groaned a bit, feeling the magic burn her but held strong as she pushed Lilith away!

"I am getting tired of this." Luz said, "I have done literally nothing to you and you want to arrest me. Hell, I was helping people during the tremors while your little Coven was no where to be found."

"Your powers make you a danger! You're a wild card and-" Lilith was cut off as Luz appeared behind her.

"You think you can bull crap me with that same garage you try to feed everyone else? I haven't hurt anyone, only those that attacked me first." Luz said, easily dodging a strike from Lilith, "I never attack unless I feel threatened."

"You are still a danger!" Lilith said, being stubborn like a certain woman Batman told Luz about.

'It's like dealing with a thinner, magical Amanda Waller.' Luz thought as she flew into the air.

"I'm giving you one chance to leave." Luz said, "After that, I can't guarantee your safety."

"And I can't disobey a direct order, while it is strange that a child must be brought in, your powers justify it." Lilith said as she fired lightning at Luz.

Luz counted with her heat vision and their beams deadlocked! The two stopped their attacks and Luz glared at her.

"Fine, don't say I didn't warn you." Luz said.

Luz flew at Lilith and grabbed her. She threw her to the ground and put her foot on Lilith's chest.

"Ugh!" Lilith grunted, feeling so much pressure on her chest as Luz pushed her into the ground.

"Yield and leave." Luz said.

Lilith began to hit Luz's leg, trying to get her leg off. Lilith threw a punch at Luz's knee, only to start screaming at her now broken hand.

"Last warning or you'll be going to the hospital with every one in your body broken." Luz said to Lilith.

"I come back to get my cloak and I see this, what the fuck did you do, Lilith!?" Eda screamed, landing behind Luz on her staff.

"She just wants to capture me because I'm human and I have "dangerous" powers." Luz said, turning to Eda.

"And the frozen goons? You did that?" Eda asked.

"They were trespassing and acting very hostile." Luz said.

"Yep, sounds about right." Eda said before looking down to her sister. "So, what's the REAL reason you tried to kidnap my super powered kid?"

"I was told to by the Emperor." Lilith said, "That's all I need to do my job."

"So if he told you to bring down a village, would you?" Luz asked.

"What?" Lilith asked in shock.

"If he told you to kill an innocent baby, would you?" Luz asked.

"T-t-that-"

"You follow someone blindly, not caring what it may cost." Luz said.

Lilith couldn't respond. Luz let out a sad sigh as she moved away from Lilith, letting her finally sit up.

"And there's the problem. Your sense of loyalty is blinding your sense of right and wrong. You say you care but when you're shown the flaws of your orders, you hesitate." Luz said to Lilith.

"Now, get off this property, or else I will make sure you can't come back at all."

Lilith didn't respond to the threat as she slowly got up and try need to leave, sending magic fire to free the fire the frozen scouts.

"Men, we're leaving." She said, sort of lifeless.

"Yes, Ma'am."

They didn't want to deal with Luz anymore since they saw her beat Lilith so easily and scorn her like a child. They left and Luz went inside. Eda stayed to watch her sister and the soldiers leave, thinking of the conflicted expression she had.

'Hopefully this will set your head straight, Lily.' Eda thought before she walked inside of her house.

Though she knew Lilith could be stubborn. It would take a LONG time before Lilith could understand and see that Belos was evil, not good as most people would assume, and when she did finally realize it, Eda would be waiting for her... so she could tell Lilith she told her so!
