Ch. 26: Healing

It was a good hour before they made it there.

"Alright, now where is the secret entrance?" Odalia asked as they rushed to the side of the school.

"Right here. Closest one." Eda said as she walked to the wall, knocking on the corner.

A small square of energy formed before opening a secret door way.

"This is going to be a tight fit. Everyone inside." Lilith said, looking around. "Can't stay out too long."

"Sure has been a while since we've been here, hasn't it Lily?" Eda asked.

"Yes, it has." Lilith said as everyone went into the small hole, even Odalia. "Hopefully, this will be the only place won't know about."

She then went inside and shut the secret door behind them.

"Alright, we can finish healing her up in here." Eda said.

Eda and Lilith lead them to the main area, where it was a spiral of other doors around them.

"I can't believe there was a secret system of tunnels all throughout Hexside." Odalia said, gazing around the tunnel.

"I mean, how did you think I pranked you without you finding out?" Eda asked.

"That was you!?"

"Guilty." Eda said with a small smirk and laughing a bit. "Ahahahaha, you should've seen your face."

"Oh, I have half a mind to take you to court!" Odalia shouted at her.

"On what charges? Pranks from over 3 decades ago?" Eda asked as she continued to laugh.

"Shouldn't you both be quieter?" Amity asked, helping Emira place some healing patches on Luz.

"No, they can be as loud as they wish here. These tunnels are vocally protected by a muting spell." Lilith said.

"I wasn't taking about that, I was hoping they would shut up so I can make sure Luz will be okay." Amity said.

"The noise could be a problem." Emira said to them.

"But it might help her wake up from that gas Batman hit her with." King countered.

Amity looked at the green shards still in Luz's wrists, knowing that Luz isn't going to be good until it was all out.

"Even if we get it out, there's still the staff that Belos has." Amity said.

"Get it....away from him." A voice said.

Everyone looked down to Luz, seeing she was awake again with help from the patches.

"The further kryptonite is away from me or dad, the more strength we regain. Even a pebble can't be around." Luz said. "It's their trump card, without it we stand a better chance."

"Luz, what did he do?" Amity asked, "What happened to you in the castle?"

"He... funneled... magic thought me... to charge a portal." Luz said, "Kryptonite...restraints... feel... so weak."

"We need to get the kryptonite out of her, that will help immensely."

"How? What could we do?" King asked in worry.

"I... I don't know." Amity said.

"I...may have an idea but it's risky." Odalia said as everyone turned to her. "Perhaps we could turn her intangible and allow this kryptonite to simply fall out of her body?"

"Is that even possible?" Emira asked, "I've never heard of that spell."

"I know, it's a rumor among Oracle witches, but maybe Edalyn and Lilith have. They are the more powerful witches." Odalia said as she looked at them, seeing them both thinking.
