Ch. 27: Hurt

Back with the Justice League, they were all restrained in magical orbs that blocked all of their abilities. Darkseid was more than happy to share any weaknesses he had on the league with Belos. Such as Green Lantern being kept in a yellow orb to negate his ring, Martian Manhunter was kept in a fire red orb that gave off constant heat, and Flash was kept in an orb resistant to his speed powers.

"You have given me such a headache." Belos said.

"You shouldn't have kidnapped our goddaughter!" Hawk Woman shouted, bashing at the orb with her mace but it was too strong.

"Well, if it makes you feel better, that was a complete accident... the first time." Belos said.

"So, you were always planning to kidnap Luz, why?" Batman asked.

"To honor our deal. Originally, I was going for her father but getting her instead was a happy surprise. But now, all the pieces are falling into place." Belos said, looking to Superman as he was contained in a green kryptonite orb.

"You're a fool is you think making a deal with Darkseid is a good thing." Wonder Woman said, glaring at Belos.

"I doubt a woman dressed like you would understand." Belos said.

Wonder Woman growled at him and punched her orb hard, making a loud boom but didn't break it!

"Say that again when I get out of here." Wonder Woman said with a glare.

"Me too." Hawk Girl said, slamming her mace against the orb.

"Well, that's the thing, you won't be getting out." Belos said, before looking at Darkseid, "My friend, prepare the petrification machine. It's time for me to uphold my end of the deal and get rid of these... 'heroes'."

"Gladly. I am interested to see this petrification process up close and personal." Darkseid said, going off to prepare the machine.

Darksied was about to fire the machine, when a blast of heat vision shot him backwards.

"Ugh!" He let out, crashing into a wall!

Shocked by this sudden attack, everyone turned to see a familiar face floating before them with great rage in her glowing red eyes.

"You?!" Belos said.

"Me." Luz said.

"Luz!" The league said.

"Now, I think I have a bone to pick with you... actually... it's more like an entire skeleton."

Luz glared at Belos before firing her heat vision again, knocking his staff out of his hands before tackles him away!

"UGH!" He grunted, flying away from the castle at high speed.

While Luz was dealing with Belos, Eda, Lilith, Amity, and co landed and were working on trying to get the Justice League out of the cells. They were close, but Amity was grabbed by her hair and held above the ground.

"I don't think so." Darksied said.

"Put her down!" Eda yelled.

"If you insist." Darkseid said.

He lifted her up and slammed her on the ground, breaking several bones, including her spine. Amity let out a blood curdling scream.

"Amity!" Lilith and Emira shouted in shock!

"Her screams are but the first of all your suffering." Darkseid said, walking over Amity to them.

Her screams echoed all the way to Luz, who was crashing through the skull of the Titan as she slammed Belos into the floor! The moment Amity's screams hit her ears, she gasped in horror. She flew back just in time to see the petrification machine pointed at Amity. Luz flew down and took the blast... full force.

Everyone watched as the petrification machine hit Luz, and they all watched in shock... as nothing happened.

"It's... not effecting her." Eda said.

"They pumped magic through her... along with her impenetrable skin, that must've made her immune to magic!" Lilith said.

Luz smiled as her eyes began to glow red. She fired her heat vision at the machine, destroying it.

"Excellent work, Luz!" Lilith said with a smile, working to free the Justice League with Belos's own staff.

Luz looked at Darkseid.

"I've had about enough of you." Luz said.

Darkseid slowly got up to see Luz marching towards him, glaring at him. Luz fired her heat vision at him.

"Ugh!" Darkseid groaned, being pushed back before firing his omega beams to counter.

Luz flew above it and flew at Darkseid, with the beam following her.

'Here's a taste of your own medicine.' Luz thought.

She flew around a bit longer before circling around to Darkseid back, flying between his legs and making his own beams hit him in the back!

"Aaaah!" He screams, feeling the string of his own beams before Luz hit him with an uppercut!

"That is for messing with my father!" Luz said.

She hit him with a right cross, left, and a dropkick to the chest!

"Those were for my aunts and uncles!" Luz shouted before grabbing his foot and spinning him around!

"And this was for what you did to Amity!" Luz said letting go of Darkseid and letting him fly away from them.

"Whoa." Odalia and Emira let out, tending to Amity before they saw Darkseid being thrown all the way out into the boiling sea.

"That won't stop him, we need to get out of here." Luz said.

"Don't have to tell us twice!" Eda said as Lilith finally deactivated the prison orbs.

"The league is free! We can go!" Lilith said as she takes off the kryptonite top from Belos's staff. "We just need to be rid of this first."

Wonder woman grabbed it and threw it in the air, where Luz and Superman fired their heat vision at it.

"It is done." Wonder Woman said as Flash and Batman helped Superman up. "Now, lead the way to a safe haven. You said Darkseid won't be gone long."

Luz didn't reply to her aunt as she went to Amity, who was trying to be healed by Emira, and gently picked her up.

"Luz?" Amity asked softly, seeing Luz slowly crying at the sight of her.

"Don't worry, you'll be okay." Luz said.

Batman walked up to and put a hand in her shoulder, giving her some comfort as she turned to him.

"Let's go. We'll get her fixed up." Batman said, looking to Lilith and Eda.

Both witches nodded as Lilith threw Belos's staff away, summoning their own so cast a large teleportation spell to take them all to somewhere safe. Darkseid got out of the water.

"Well, this is more fun than I thought."
