Mitsuki rushed around the house like a tornado, scrubbing and spraying down every surface in sight. Every few minutes, she'd bolt back into the kitchen to check on the dozens of snacks and plates of food she was frantically preparing. The whole house smelled amazing, but Katsuki could only focus on how annoying the whole thing was.

"Katsuki!" she yelled from the bottom of the stairs, hands firmly planted on her hips. "You better be ready, or so help me, I will come up there and put those clothes on you myself!"

Upstairs, Katsuki sat on his bed, scowling. His mood was already soured from being woken up early to get ready for some "stupid extra" he didn't even know. He fiddled with the buttons on his shirt, his small fingers struggling to get them through the holes. After what felt like forever, he finally managed to button it up, but his irritation only grew when his mom barged into his room without knocking.

"Oh great, finally, you put the damn shirt on," Mitsuki said, her eyes scanning the room like a hawk. Then her voice hit its usual high-pitched tone. "Katsuki?! What is this mess in your room?! Clean it up now! We have important guests coming!"

Katsuki looked around his room, which, to him, didn't even seem that messy. A few toys scattered here and there, a couple of clothes on the floor—nothing worth stressing over. He huffed, crossing his arms in defiance. "Why should I clean my room for some damn extra?!! I'm not letting them in here anyway!"

Mitsuki's eyes narrowed at him. "Don't you 'damn extra' me, Katsuki. It's important! And don't talk back to me!"

Katsuki groaned loudly, rolling his eyes. "Who even is coming over, you old hag?!"

Mitsuki threw her hands in the air, clearly losing patience. "They're a good friend, alright? A friend you're gonna want to have!"

Katsuki huffed again, muttering under his breath. "Tch. Whatever..." He started shoving random toys under his bed and kicking clothes into his closet, doing the bare minimum to "clean" up. He didn't care who was coming over. As far as he was concerned, they were just some extras who were wasting his day.

Katsuki stomped down the stairs, still grumbling under his breath, watching his mom zip around like a maniac. She was everywhere—scrubbing, rearranging pillows, wiping counters. It was chaos. But then, something caught his attention: the unmistakable, mouth-watering smell coming from the kitchen. The smell from the kitchen hit him hard his stomach growling as he wandered over to check out the countless pots and pans covering the stove.

One in particular caught his eye—or rather, his nose. That familiar spicy aroma was unmistakable. Spicy curry, his absolute favorite. Katsuki's mouth practically watered as he glanced over his shoulder to make sure his mom wasn't looking. He spotted a stool nearby and quickly dragged it over, climbing up so he could reach the ladle in the pot. His hand hovered just above it, ready to scoop out a taste of that spicy goodness.
