Five was standing in front of the train tracks waiting for the train to come. He glanced to his side seeing the entrance, thinking what he did not just leaving the family behind but leaving Luna behind as well.
He was more hurt that Diego doesn't believe him and Lila didn't stood up.
Five heard the subway approaching, even hears the PA system chime speaking. The subway stops and opens the door. Five walking towards it and took a seat on the benches of the train.
----------- Town
Reginald walked out of the store where they saw everything, he walked towards the street and saw the soldier coming to him. " it's time to evacuate sir." The soldier alerted him.
" on the contrary, it's time to face the inevitable." Reginald face the cleanse then the soldier. " goodbye, Gary. Thank you for your service."
He shakes Gary's hand and the solder nod at his decision. " let's roll out!" He yell at his men.
Reginald look at the cleanse then walked towards the bench seeing the cleanse attacking the keepers. " why did I wait to take the shot?"
Gene walked towards the bench and sat next to him. " because maybe you are a good man, after all."
Reginald shook his head, stare at gene. " you pathetic, self deluded zealot. Do you have any idea what you've done? "
" yeah." Gene stare at the cleanse. " I ended the world."
Reginald scuffs by his statement. Then both men stare at the scene in front of them. Reginald then felt genes hand continuing. " and that's a good thing, my love."
Reginald stare at him confusing. " who are you?" Gene peel his face revealing a female face. Reginald gasped in shocked, " Abigail. You did this?"
" you left me no choice." Abigail told him.
" but why?"
Abigail thought about the reason and told him, " dying was my penance for creating something so deadly. This..." Abigail faced the cleanse with a sigh. " cleanse. Wasn't it enough to see our world destroyed?" Reginald stayed silent, hearing Abigail. " why would you loose it on this one?"
Reginald thought about it then remembers, the marigolds. While he was beside Abigail. " because I was so lonely without you. "
" I didn't ask to be brought back to life."
