The forest was eerily quiet, the only sound being the rustle of leaves in the cold night breeze. Izzy's pulse raced as they crouched in the dense underbrush, Damian's hand gripping hers tightly. She could feel the tension in his body, every muscle coiled and ready to move. The fear of being caught weighed heavily on her chest, but there was something else-a growing sense that this was far from over.

"We can't stay here," Damian whispered, his voice barely audible over the rustle of the wind. "Luca's too close."

Izzy nodded, her breath coming in shallow gasps. She didn't want to move, didn't want to risk running into Luca's men, but she trusted Damian. He had kept them alive so far, and she wasn't about to question him now.

"Do you think Tony...?" Her voice trailed off, the thought too painful to finish.

Damian's jaw tightened. "Tony knew what he was doing. He wouldn't want us to waste time."

His words were calm, but Izzy could hear the strain behind them. Tony's sacrifice wasn't something either of them could forget easily. But right now, the only way to honor him was to survive.

Damian stood slowly, pulling her up with him. They moved quietly through the trees, the moonlight barely filtering through the thick canopy overhead. Every step felt like a gamble, every breath a potential giveaway. But they couldn't stop now.

As they navigated the forest, Izzy's mind raced. They were living moment to moment, with no plan, no safety net. Her father's reach was everywhere, and Enrico Rossi was just as relentless. If Luca caught them, it wouldn't just mean their deaths-it would mean their families' empires would remain untouchable, and all their efforts to expose the truth would be for nothing.

"Damian," Izzy whispered, breaking the silence. "Do you really think we can get out of this?"

Damian didn't answer immediately. His eyes scanned the darkness ahead, always alert, always calculating. Finally, he glanced at her, his expression hard but filled with determination. "We have to."

Izzy's chest tightened. She wanted to believe him, but the fear gnawing at her gut was hard to ignore. The truth was, they were running out of options.

Suddenly, a branch snapped in the distance.

Damian froze, his body tensing as his eyes flicked toward the sound. Izzy's heart leapt into her throat. Luca's men were close-too close.

"Go," Damian hissed, pushing her forward.

They bolted through the trees, their footsteps pounding against the earth as they raced deeper into the forest. Izzy's lungs burned, her legs shaking from exhaustion, but she didn't stop. She couldn't. Not with the sound of footsteps growing louder behind them.

A gunshot rang out, shattering the silence.

Izzy gasped, her breath catching in her throat as the bullet whizzed past, missing her by inches. Panic surged through her, but Damian grabbed her arm, pulling her off the path and into a thick cluster of trees.

"Keep moving!" he urged, his voice sharp with fear.

They ducked under branches, weaving through the dense forest as the men continued their pursuit. The sound of their shouts grew fainter, but Izzy knew they were still being hunted.

Damian led her to a small clearing, the moonlight casting an eerie glow over the scene. He stopped, his chest heaving as he glanced around, trying to get his bearings.

"We can't keep running like this," Izzy panted, her hands trembling. "They'll catch us."

Damian's eyes darted toward the edge of the clearing, where a small, barely visible path led deeper into the forest. "There's an old cabin near here," he said, his voice low. "It's abandoned. We can hide there."
