The cold night air was thick with tension as Damian and Izzy worked silently in the small, dilapidated cabin. They had spent hours preparing, every movement calculated, every sound carefully muffled to avoid alerting anyone to their presence. The plan was simple, but it was dangerous-lure Luca and his men into the open and turn the tables on them.

Izzy's hands trembled slightly as she tied off one of the ropes, her mind spinning with the gravity of what they were about to do. Setting traps, hiding weapons-it was all a blur of motion. But beneath it all, fear gnawed at her like a relentless beast.

Damian, on the other hand, seemed focused, his mind sharp as he double-checked everything. His eyes were dark, and Izzy could see the weight of responsibility pressing down on him. He was doing this for them, for their future, and she knew there was no turning back now.

"We're ready," Damian said softly, his voice barely a whisper. He glanced at the open window, where the moonlight filtered through the trees, casting eerie shadows on the cabin floor. "Now we wait."

Izzy nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. The quiet was almost suffocating, the anticipation of what was to come hanging over them like a storm. She moved to stand beside Damian, her hand brushing against his arm. "Are you sure about this?"

Damian's eyes met hers, his gaze steady. "We don't have another choice. If we don't stop them now, they'll keep coming until there's nothing left of us."

Izzy swallowed hard, knowing he was right. They had been running for too long, and the time had come to make a stand. She glanced out the window again, her eyes scanning the dark forest beyond. Somewhere out there, Luca and his men were closing in.

"I trust you," she whispered, her voice shaky but resolute.

Damian gave her a small, tight smile. "We'll get through this, Izzy. I promise."

Luca's Point of View

Luca crouched in the shadows, his eyes locked on the cabin in the distance. The moon hung low in the sky, casting a pale light over the forest, but Luca didn't need to see clearly to know that Damian was in there, waiting.

"Surround the perimeter," he whispered to his men, his voice cold and precise. "No one moves until I give the signal."

The men nodded, moving silently through the trees, their weapons drawn. Luca's pulse quickened with anticipation. This was it. The endgame. Damian had been clever, but Luca had been one step ahead. He knew his brother's tricks, knew how Damian thought.

As he moved closer to the cabin, Luca's mind raced with a mixture of anger and dark satisfaction. Damian had chosen his path the moment he sided with Isabella Valenti. He had turned his back on the family, on everything they stood for. And for that, there was no forgiveness.

The plan was simple. Flush them out, corner them, and end this once and for all. Luca's fingers tightened around the handle of his gun, his eyes narrowing as he crept through the underbrush. Damian couldn't hide forever.

The cabin loomed ahead, dark and silent, but Luca knew better. Damian was inside, waiting for him, just as he had been waiting for this moment for weeks.

"I'm coming for you, brother," Luca muttered under his breath, a cold smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

He raised his hand, signaling to his men.

Damian's Point of View

Damian's pulse quickened as he heard the faint rustle of leaves outside the cabin. They were here. Luca and his men had finally found them. He could feel the tension in the air, the sense of impending danger growing with every second.

"Get ready," Damian whispered to Izzy, his voice barely audible.

Izzy nodded, her hands trembling slightly as she gripped the small knife Damian had given her. They had set up the traps perfectly, but now came the hard part-waiting for the right moment to spring them.

Damian crouched beside the window, his eyes scanning the shadows outside. He could see the faint movements of Luca's men, their dark figures barely visible as they moved closer to the cabin. His jaw clenched as he thought of his brother-of how far Luca had fallen.

This wasn't just about power anymore. It was about survival. Luca had been consumed by the family's legacy, twisted into something cold and ruthless. Damian had tried to reason with him, tried to show him a different way, but now there was no going back.

A sharp creak echoed through the cabin as Luca's men reached the door. Damian held his breath, his body tensing as he prepared for what was to come.

And then, all hell broke loose.

The door flew open with a violent crash, and Luca's men stormed inside, their guns raised. But they hadn't expected the traps. The first man through the door tripped the wire, sending a heavy beam crashing down from above. He went down with a grunt, his weapon flying from his hand.

Chaos erupted as Damian moved swiftly, lunging at the second man before he could react. His fist connected with the man's jaw, sending him sprawling to the floor. Izzy moved in the shadows, her heart pounding as she followed Damian's lead, trying to stay out of sight.

Luca appeared in the doorway, his face twisted with anger as he surveyed the scene. "Damian!"

Damian turned, his chest heaving as he faced his brother. For a moment, everything else fell away-the fighting, the chaos. It was just him and Luca, two brothers on opposite sides of a war they hadn't asked for.

"Luca, don't do this," Damian said, his voice raw with emotion. "It doesn't have to end like this."

Luca's eyes narrowed, his gun trained on Damian. "It ended the moment you turned your back on the family."

Damian's heart pounded in his chest, but he stood his ground. "I didn't turn my back. I walked away from something broken. You don't have to be a part of this anymore."

For a split second, Damian thought he saw something flicker in Luca's eyes-doubt, hesitation. But it was gone as quickly as it appeared.

"You're a fool," Luca spat, stepping forward. "And I'm going to finish what you started."

He raised the gun, his finger hovering over the trigger. Damian's body tensed, ready to move, but then-

Another gunshot rang out, deafening in the confined space of the cabin.

Damian froze, his breath catching in his throat as Luca stumbled back, his hand going to his side where blood was already spreading across his shirt.

Izzy stood behind him, her hand trembling as she held the gun Tony had left behind.

For a moment, everything was still. Damian stared at Luca, shock and disbelief washing over him. His brother's eyes widened, and he staggered backward, his body hitting the wall before sliding to the floor.

"Izzy," Damian breathed, his heart pounding in his chest.

She dropped the gun, her hands trembling as she looked at him, her eyes filled with fear and shock. "I had to-he was going to kill you."

Damian rushed to her side, pulling her into his arms as the weight of what had just happened crashed over them. Luca's men, the ones still standing, hesitated, unsure of what to do without their leader.

"Go," Damian said, his voice shaking. "It's over."

The men exchanged glances before slowly backing away, disappearing into the night.

Damian held Izzy close, his heart pounding in his chest as he tried to process what had just happened. Luca was gone. The fight was over. But the cost was more than he had ever imagined.
