The dark highway stretched out endlessly before them, the faint glow of distant city lights fading in the rearview mirror. Tony drove in silence, his eyes fixed on the road ahead, while Damian and Izzy sat in the back, their hands intertwined as they processed everything that had happened.

"This is it, huh?" Izzy whispered, her voice breaking the silence. "We're really leaving."

Damian squeezed her hand, his heart heavy. "Yeah. We are."

Izzy leaned her head against his shoulder, her breath shaky. "It doesn't feel real. It feels like a dream-like any minute, we'll wake up, and everything will go back to the way it was."

Damian's chest tightened. He knew that feeling all too well-the sense that no matter how far they ran, their past would always be just a step behind them. But he couldn't let that fear control them. They had made their choice, and now they had to live with it.

"You're safe now," Damian said softly, kissing the top of her head. "That's all that matters."

Izzy nodded, her eyes closing as the exhaustion of the night finally caught up with her. But even as she rested, Damian's mind raced. Tony had gotten them out of the city, but for how long? How far would Vincent and Enrico go to bring them back?

Tony glanced in the rearview mirror, his expression grim. "There's a safe house up north. It's off the grid. No one will find you there."

Damian nodded, grateful for Tony's help but unable to shake the sense of unease that settled over him. He knew they couldn't hide forever. Sooner or later, Vincent would find them. And when he did...

"What happens after that?" Damian asked, his voice low.

Tony didn't answer right away, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. "You keep running. You keep fighting. But eventually, you'll have to face them again."

Damian swallowed hard. He had known all along that this moment would come-the moment when they would have to confront their families once and for all. But now that it was here, he wasn't sure if he was ready.

Izzy stirred beside him, her eyes fluttering open. She looked up at him, her gaze filled with a mixture of fear and hope. "We'll make it, right? We'll find a way."

Damian smiled softly, his hand brushing her hair back. "Yeah, we will."

But deep down, he knew the fight wasn't over. Not yet.
