The tension between Jin and I had been unbearable since the night he'd confessed to me—about the past with Jimin, about how things ended between them as friends. But even though Jin had come clean about stealing Jimin's girlfriend back then, something in me refused to believe his side of the story completely. The doubt Jimin planted lingered, clawing at me.
Jin had told me his version, that it wasn't as simple as Jimin made it out to be. That the girl had chosen him, and Jimin couldn't handle it. But Jimin's words echoed louder.
Jin isn't who you think he is. He took everything from me.
I really wanted to believe Jin, but now with Jimin back, those cracks were beginning to show. And what if Jin wasn't as innocent as he made himself out to be? The fear crept in that maybe the man I had grown to love had a darker side, one that he kept hidden beneath his sweet smiles and gentle touch.
We were supposed to go out tonight, but I had canceled, needing space to think. I found myself sitting alone at the café, replaying every conversation I'd had with both Jin and Jimin, trying to figure out where the truth really lay. The air felt thick, suffocating with the weight of the unspoken.

The confrontation was inevitable.
Jin had seen Jimin around town, watching, lurking like a shadow. Jin couldn't stand it anymore, the constant reminder of his past mistakes haunting him. And now, Jimin was sowing seeds of doubt in Y/N's mind, trying to pull her away from him, just like he had tried to keep that girl in the past.
He clenched his fists as he walked through the empty streets. He knew where Jimin would be—the same place he always was, sitting at that dingy bar on the corner of town. Jin pushed the door open, the smell of cheap beer and sweat hitting him instantly. There, in the corner, was Jimin, nursing a drink like he didn't have a care in the world.
"Jimin!" Jin's voice cut through the noise of the bar like a knife, causing a few heads to turn. Jimin looked up, a slow smile spreading across his face when he saw Jin.
"Well, well. Look who it is," Jimin said, standing up slowly. "Come to finally finish what you started?"
Jin's blood boiled at the taunt. He stormed across the bar, grabbing Jimin by the collar of his shirt and slamming him against the wall.
"You need to stay away from Y/N," Jin growled, his grip tightening. "You've already tried to ruin my life once. I won't let you do it again."
Jimin laughed, though it was strained. "Funny, coming from the guy who took everything from me. You stole my girlfriend. Now you're trying to steal Y/N, too? I don't think so."
Jin's grip tightened even more, his heart pounding in his chest. "She doesn't belong to you. She never will."
Jimin's eyes flashed with anger. "And you think you can protect her from me? You can't even protect yourself from the truth, Jin. She'll find out who you really are soon enough."
That was the last straw. Jin's fist connected with Jimin's face before he even realized what he was doing. The force of the punch sent Jimin sprawling to the ground, blood dripping from his nose. The rage inside Jin burned hotter, blinding him to anything else.
"You're a liar," Jin spat, his breath ragged as he stood over Jimin. "You've always been a liar."
Jimin struggled to get up, but Jin was on him again, throwing another punch, then another. Each hit felt like releasing years of pent-up frustration, of guilt, of anger. He had tried to keep it together for so long, but Jimin had pushed him too far.
The bar patrons shouted for him to stop, but their voices were distant, like a blur. All Jin could focus on was the anger and pain surging through him. It wasn't until Jimin stopped moving that Jin froze, realizing what he had done.
Jimin lay there, unconscious, bloodied and battered. The reality hit Jin like a wave of cold water. He backed away, his heart racing as he looked at his hands, stained with blood.
*What have I done?*
Without thinking, Jin turned and ran. He didn't know where he was going—he just knew he couldn't stay there. His mind was racing, the fear of what he had just done consuming him. He had crossed a line, one he didn't know if he could come back from.

The news channel blared in the background as Y/N sat on her couch, still reeling from her conversation with Jin. She had barely paid attention to the TV until a familiar name caught her ear.
"...breaking news. Local authorities found a man unconscious in the streets late tonight. The man, identified as Park Jimin, was rushed to the hospital after suffering severe injuries. Police are currently investigating the incident, though no suspects have been named. We'll continue to update you as we learn more."
Y/N's heart dropped.
Jimin? Unconscious?
She grabbed her phone, her hands shaking as she tried to process the news. The pieces clicked together slowly, but dread filled her as she realized what might have happened.
Jin.
She tried calling him, but there was no answer. Panic bubbled in her chest as she thought about what Jin might have done. Would he have really gone that far? The thought of him hurting Jimin—it didn't feel real. But deep down, Y/N knew Jin wasn't always as calm and collected as he seemed. He had his breaking point, and maybe tonight, Jimin had pushed him too far.

Namjoon was still in the middle of talking with Yoongi when his phone buzzed. The message came from one of his sources.
*Park Jimin found in the streets. Unconscious. Beaten badly. No suspects yet.*
Namjoon's blood ran cold. He knew exactly what had happened before he even read further.
"Yoongi," Namjoon said, his voice tight with tension. "We need to talk to Jin. Now."
Yoongi nodded, already on the same page. They both knew things had spiraled out of control, and now, the consequences of their tangled relationships were coming to a head. Namjoon's heart raced as he realized that not only was Y/N caught in the middle of this, but now Jimin might be, too. And if Jin was behind this, Namjoon didn't know what would happen next.
