The soft hum of the hospital's break room filled the air as you sank into one of the plastic chairs, letting out a deep sigh. The weekend had been a whirlwind of emotions, and even though you were now back at work, the events from the trip still weighed heavily on your mind. Across from you, Hoseok and IU sat at the table, both looking at you expectantly as they sipped on their coffee.

"Okay, spill," Hoseok said, leaning forward with a raised eyebrow. "And don't even try to tell me everything is fine."

IU nodded, her eyes filled with curiosity but also concern. "Yeah, what happened? You seemed... off yesterday when we all got back."

You took a deep breath, rubbing your temples. "I can't get over how the trip was a disaster, honestly. It was supposed to be fun, but there was so much drama."

Hoseok shook his head, a hint of frustration crossing his features. "I knew those two would cause trouble. I could tell from the moment I met them, they have a thing for creating chaos wherever they go." He paused, studying you for a moment before asking, "But what about you? How are you really doing?"

You hesitated, biting your lip as memories of the trip flashed through your mind. The poolside fight, the confrontation with Jessi and Lisa, and most of all, the moments with Namjoon and Jin. The look in Namjoon's eyes still lingered in your thoughts, a mixture of regret and unresolved feelings that you couldn't shake.

"I don't know," you admitted, your voice quiet. "Everything's so complicated. Jin and I... we're good. He's been amazing, but Namjoon—"

"Ah, here it is," Hoseok cut in, crossing his arms. "Namjoon. What is going on with you two? Be honest."

You sighed, feeling IU's eyes on you as well. "There's a lot of history between me and Namjoon. We never really had closure, and this weekend brought a lot of those feelings back up. But I chose Jin. I care about him deeply, and I want to be with him."

Hoseok frowned, clearly unconvinced. "Do you? Because it doesn't sound like you've fully let Namjoon go. I know Jin, and he's all in with you, Y/N. He's not the kind of guy to deal with half-hearted relationships. If there's still something with Namjoon, you need to figure that out." You knew Jin and Hoseok had become good friends now that he's been hanging around your friend group a lot, so you could understand why Hoseok was standing up for him the way he was.

His words stung, but you knew he wasn't wrong. There was something lingering between you and Namjoon that hadn't been resolved, and the more you tried to ignore it, the more it seemed to surface.

"I agree with Hoseok," IU chimed in, her voice gentle but firm. "You need to talk to Namjoon. Not for closure necessarily, but to clear the air. If there are still feelings—on either side—those need to be addressed. Otherwise, it's just going to keep haunting your relationship with Jin."

You stared down at your coffee, the tension building inside you as the weight of their words sank in. Hoseok and IU were both right. No matter how much you cared about Jin, you couldn't deny that Namjoon's presence in your life was still affecting you. And until you faced it, you weren't sure if you could fully move on.

"Maybe I do need to talk to him," you murmured, more to yourself than to them. "But I don't want to hurt Jin."

"That's why you have to do this now," Hoseok said softly. "Before things get worse."

Meanwhile, at the Office...

Namjoon sat at his desk, staring blankly at the paperwork in front of him. He had barely slept since returning from the trip, his mind constantly drifting back to Y/N. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake the image of her with Jin—the way she looked at him, the way she leaned into his touch. It tore at him, even though he had no right to feel that way. He had let her go once, and now she was with someone else. But the feelings hadn't faded. If anything, they had only grown stronger.

Across the room, Jin and Yoongi were sitting in a small huddle, discussing something work-related, but Namjoon couldn't focus. His mind was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of Y/N. His frustration mounted as he tried to push it away, but every time he closed his eyes, he saw her face.

"Are you even listening?" Jin's voice cut through his thoughts, and Namjoon looked up to see both Jin and Yoongi staring at him.

"What?" Namjoon muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I said," Jin repeated, his tone sharp with irritation, "we need to finalize these reports before the end of the day. Or are you too distracted to handle work right now?"

The tension between them was palpable, and Yoongi, sensing the brewing conflict, cleared his throat. "Look, this isn't going to work if we all keep pretending like nothing happened."

Jin frowned, his jaw tightening. "What are you talking about?"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about," Yoongi said, his voice calm but firm. "This whole thing between you, Namjoon, and Y/N. It's getting out of hand, and it's ruining our friendship."

Namjoon stiffened, his eyes narrowing. "Yoongi—"

"No, I'm serious," Yoongi interrupted. "I've been quiet about this long enough, but it's affecting everything. We can't even get through a conversation without the tension bleeding through. And let's be real, this isn't Y/N's fault. She didn't ask for any of this."

Jin's expression softened slightly, but he didn't look at Namjoon. "I know that."

Yoongi turned to Namjoon, his gaze steady. "You need to figure out what you want, Namjoon. This back and forth—holding on to Y/N while she's with Jin—it's not fair to anyone, especially her. She's trying to move forward with Jin, and you're stuck in the past."

Namjoon clenched his fists, his frustration bubbling to the surface. "It's not that simple, Yoongi. You don't understand."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "I understand more than you think. But this isn't just about you. It's about all of us. Our friendship is falling apart because none of us are dealing with the real issue. And if you don't talk to Y/N, it's only going to get worse."

Jin finally spoke up, his voice low but filled with tension. "Namjoon, I care about Y/N. And I know you do too. But this has to stop. I'm not going to keep competing with you for her attention. She chose me."

Namjoon's chest tightened at Jin's words, the finality of them cutting deep. But even as he heard them, he couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that there was still something unresolved between him and Y/N—something that needed to be addressed before either of them could truly move forward.

Yoongi sighed, standing up and looking between his two friends. "Figure it out. For all of our sakes. Because this—" he gestured between them, "—this can't keep going."

As Yoongi walked away, leaving Jin and Namjoon in a tense silence, Namjoon felt the weight of his words settle over him. He had to confront Y/N. There was no avoiding it anymore.

Because whether he liked it or not, this situation wasn't just affecting his relationship with Y/N—it was tearing their entire friendship group apart.
