You sat on the couch in your living room, wringing your hands as you tried to find the words. The room was filled with a tense silence, and the weight of what you were about to say felt heavier with each passing second. Jin sat next to you, his jaw tight, his body language stiff. He had sensed something was off since you came home from work, and now it was time to lay it all out in the open.

"Jin," you started softly, your voice breaking the silence. "I need to talk to Namjoon."

Jin's eyes flicked to yours, sharp with tension. "I knew this was coming," he said, his voice low. "But what exactly do you need to talk to him about?"

You took a deep breath, choosing your words carefully. "It's not about wanting him back," you said quickly. "It's about closure. There are things between us that were left unsaid, and if I don't deal with it now, it'll just keep hanging over us. I owe it to both of us—to you, and to me."

Jin clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. "Y/N, you know I trust you, but... I can't just let you go talk to him alone. Not after everything that happened on the trip."

You blinked, surprised. "What do you mean?"

He shook his head, his voice hardening. "I can't let you talk to him unless I'm there. I'm not going to stand by and watch him try to pull you back in."

You felt a wave of frustration wash over you. "Jin, it's not like that. You have to trust me—"

"I do trust you," he interrupted, his eyes softening for just a moment. "But this isn't just about trust. It's about everything we've been through, everything we've started to build. Namjoon's feelings for you—they're not gone. And if I'm being honest, I don't think yours for him are completely gone either."

You bit your lip, knowing he wasn't wrong. As much as you were falling for Jin, as much as you wanted to build a future with him, Namjoon had been a significant part of your life for so long. But it was unfair to keep stringing this along without resolving it.

"Fine," you finally said. "We'll talk to him together."

Jin nodded slowly, his expression still tense but slightly relieved. "Good. Because I'm not losing you without a fight."

The tension in Namjoon's apartment was thick as the three of you sat across from each other, Jin's arm protectively resting on the back of the couch behind you. Namjoon's expression was unreadable, though you could tell he was already on edge. He had been bracing for this conversation, just as you had.

"I think we need to come to some kind of decision," you began, trying to keep your voice calm. "Because this can't keep going on like this."

Namjoon's eyes flicked to yours, the intensity behind them making your breath catch. "Agreed," he said, his voice low. "But you need to be honest with yourself, Y/N. This isn't just about closure. We both know there's still something between us."
