Namjoon's strides were purposeful, cutting through the moonlit night as the ocean breeze brushed past him. He wasn't thinking about what he would say to Jin or you. He just knew he had to do something. Jin's arm around your waist felt like a challenge, a line drawn in the sand that Namjoon wasn't willing to stand behind anymore.

You and Jin stopped walking as Namjoon approached, your eyes widening when you noticed the intensity on his face. Jin, noticing the shift in your expression, followed your gaze. His relaxed posture stiffened, and his grip around your waist tightened, pulling you closer.

"Namjoon," Jin greeted coolly, a hint of confusion in his voice, but his eyes flashed with something harder—something defensive.

Namjoon's jaw clenched as he looked between you and Jin. The closeness, the intimacy—he couldn't bear it anymore. He wasn't going to play nice, not tonight. Not when the air was thick with unresolved feelings, and not when the woman he loved was right in front of him with another man.

"Jin," Namjoon replied, his tone equally cold. His eyes shifted to you, softening for a brief second, but there was a storm brewing inside him. "Can I talk to Y/N? Alone."

Jin didn't move, his expression hardening. "We're in the middle of something, Namjoon. Whatever it is, it can wait."

Namjoon's fists clenched at his sides, but he forced himself to stay calm. "No, it can't." His eyes flicked to you, pleading silently for you to step away with him, even for just a moment. You shifted uneasily under the weight of both their stares, feeling the tension rise with every passing second.

Jin's jaw tightened, clearly unwilling to back down. "I don't think now's the time," he said, his voice edged with warning. "You've had plenty of chances to talk to her before. Why now?"

Namjoon's temper flared. He had been patient, stayed in his lane for too long. Now wasn't the time for diplomacy. "Because I've had enough of this," Namjoon shot back, his voice rising as he gestured between the three of you. "I've had enough of pretending like I'm okay with this—like I don't feel anything."

Your breath hitched, and Jin stepped in front of you protectively, his eyes narrowing. "What are you talking about, Namjoon?"

Namjoon took a step closer, his voice low and fierce. "I'm talking about the fact that I still love her, Jin. I never stopped."

The words hung in the air like a bomb waiting to explode. Your heart pounded in your chest, and for a moment, it felt like the world had tilted off its axis. Jin's expression darkened as the realization hit him, but he didn't back down. If anything, he squared his shoulders, ready for a fight.

"Is that what this is about?" Jin asked, his voice dangerously calm. "You think you can just come in and say that, and what? She's going to leave with you?"

Namjoon met Jin's glare head-on, his resolve hardening. "I don't know what's going to happen, but I'm done standing by and watching. She deserves to know how I feel."
