No matter how long you're gone...

"Awe, there's our preggo princess." Chloe says as soon as Audra walks into the Republic Records headquarters.
"You know Chlo', I didn't make you sign that NDA for fun." Lisa looks at the blonde pointedly.
"Sorry."
"It's fine." Audra waves. "Preggo princess has a nice ring to it actually."
"Regardless, we still don't want too many people knowing." Lisa presses the button to the elevator. "Right now, my goal is getting everyone who does know, to pretend that they don't know. Persons will find out when the time's right. Besides, that pushover, also known as your ex-boyfriend's manager, already called and demanded that we keep things on the down low for the sake of their brand." She rolls her eyes. "Every time I talk to that man, I lose brain cells, I swear."
"Well, they are releasing an album soon. That means promo and everything in a few months. So, I can see where he's coming from with that. If it makes both of you feel better, Calum and I have some idea on how we'd let everyone else know."
"Do you?"
"Yeah. I'll just post a photo or something, and he'll comment."
"How...minimal."
"Minimal is what we're aiming for. Nothing too intense. Our fans are intense enough."
"Good point. But it's good that you two are on the same page with all of this. Wish my husband and I were this cohesive in the beginning."
"Eh. I wouldn't be so envious." Audra drones as they stop on their floor.
"Uh oh. That didn't sound playful." The woman glances at her, before unlocking her office door. "I know it's only 9 am, but I can spare hearing about your problems. What's up?"
"So the other day, we were having a conversation. And he got all mad because we're not gonna be together when the kid's here. And he was going on about how he hates that we'll be in separate houses."
"Which is fair."
"Sure. But, I was trying to get him to understand that kids are brought into this world in way worst conditions."
"Also fair." Lisa interjects.
"I promise I'm not tryna invalidate his feelings. But come on. Just because we're not together doesn't mean our kid is gonna come out....messed up or damaged or something. Like, I resent that."
"I don't think he meant it like that, Audr."
"Whether he meant it like that or not, it's still not okay for him to make it seem like kids from broken homes aren't....normal. Hell, I'm from a broken home. I came out okay....for the most part that is."
"You did come out okay." Lisa confirms. "Maybe he's just looking at this from his own experience. He had stability growing up didn't he?"
"Yeah. But I didn't."
"Right. So all of this, is just based off of a difference of upbringing."
"How does knowing that help the issue though?"
"It makes you more aware of what you guys are fussing about." Lisa says settling in her chair. I'm sure you already know what you two have to do."
Audra did know. In her experience, though, them talking always led to something extreme: i.e. their breakup, or perhaps Luke's wedding which led to the small human developing in her stomach. Yet, if they were to try their hand at this co-parenting thing, they'd have to at least be on the same page.
