"At least one of us gets to keep their summer body." Audra says, when Mona returns from her run that morning.
"It'll probably disappear by Christmas." The tan girl laughs. "Besides, who still cares about summer bodies anyway? Pretty sure society has evolved."
"Pretty sure it hasn't." She spoons through her cereal. "You and Harry still driving up to Pasadena today?"
"Yeah, we're gonna head out at about noon. Eric needed to see us. Did I tell you he found a new location for filming?"
"Really? That's great. I bet he's happy."
"Stoked." She pours herself a handful of dried cereal. "You know that means, I'll probably have to head to London soon?"
"Yeah. I'm glad that you'll be there doing what you love."
"Right..." She brushes her hands, clearing her throat nervously. "What if I told you I may be gone longer?"
"I mean, you guys just found the location, so I can see you being there for a while longer. But how long is longer?"
Mona shrugs. "Could be a few months... a year....or maybe permanently." She mumbles the last part.
However, the bemused look on Audra's face said that she heard clearly. "Sorry?"
"Okay, don't freak out-"
"Don't freak out?! You're saying you wanna move to London?"
"Yeah, but....Okay, so Harry had suggested it as a joke, but I couldn't stop thinking about it ever since." She admits. "Then my brain started going on about how I could possibly work with the London team there, and how fun that would be. I legit thought to myself, hey I really wouldn't mind moving to London."
"But, why?" Her friend whines.
"Because I'm in love with London, Audra. I have been for a while now. It's something about the atmosphere there that I really prefer over LA."
"You mean like the rain, the cold, and people who always pissed off like you told me?"
"I know there's a few drawbacks, but I don't mind."
Audra sighs. "Like, I'm happy that you wanna do great things and all..."
"But?"
"But who's gonna annoy me every waking second of the day?"
"You do know I'm capable of annoying you over the phone, right? This isn't new. I've been doing it for years now." She jokes, and they laugh.
"In all seriousness though, you're sure this is something you wanna do? You're not feeling pressured?"
"This is something I've wanted to do for a while actually. But the urge is stronger now."
"Oh...when did you plan on leaving?"
"I give it two weeks."
"You're breaking my heart here, Mo. I mean really."
"Because we just got the site, Eric wants us to hop on the project as quick as we can before something else comes up. Forgive me."
"Sure, I'll forgive you for leaving me all alone."
"You legit have a boyfriend Miss overdramatic. You'll be fine in that regard."
