Race Day.

I've been here since 11:00, same as the other day, even though the race wasn't until 18:00. Apparently, they wanted as many photos as they could get out of the weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if there are over 1,000 photos when I do my final count. I've been smart and editing photos as I go, that way I'm not leaving it all until I go back to the MTC after the race week. That would be hell.

"Is that my polo?" Lando's voice stole my attention from where I was photographing the mechanics and the cars.

I looked down at the shirt I was wearing and, sure enough, this wasn't mine. It was the one Lando had given me a couple of days ago after the coffee incident. "I thought it was a little long on me."

He laughed, walking over to me on his way back to his Driver's room. They'd just gotten back from the Driver's Parade and had just over an hour before they were needed for the national anthem – I'm sure he's going to relax. "Keep it." Lando mumbled, tugging on the sleeve as he walked by.

I didn't even have time to question him before he disappeared down the hallway. Why doesn't he want it back?

I guess it really isn't that big of a deal; his motives are just interesting.

"I thought I warned you about Lando." Adeline's voice was barely loud enough for me to hear.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I turned to face her, she had the slightest frown on her lips. "You told me to be careful, yeah, but–"

"I'm just saying, Jo." She cut me off, an odd habit of hers, "I don't want you to get hurt if the friendship ends up only being one-sided."

One sided?

If anything, the friendship is currently one-sided for Lando. I haven't even really let myself give in fully. I'm tempted, but still a little cautious for the time being.

I fiddled with my camera in my hands, going ahead and changing some of the settings since I was about to leave the garage and go into the sunlight. "I don't think it is, he's the one who started it up anyway."

"Whatever you say." Adeline shrugged, Charlotte conveniently called her name causing her to walk away.

Weird.

Why is she so bent on me not being friends with Lando? I thought we left this conversation in Dubai. My friendship with Lando isn't even her business anyway. If he ends up hurting me that's on me and nothing for Adeline to worry about.

Huh.

The more I think about the whole situation the more it makes sense that maybe the 'employees' that she'd been referring to in Dubai weren't actually more than one person. Maybe Adeline was referring to herself. Could it be possible that she had tried to befriend Lando – or even another driver – and it hadn't ended well? Is that why she was trying to walk away from him when we saw him at the airport?

I shrugged it off, Adeline's beef with being friends with the drivers isn't something I need to be dwelling on. I need to be taking more photos.

But then again, I could also get coffee. Maybe coffee will help me be less irritated and more motivated to make it until the end of the day. Today had been quite long after all. I'll just pretend I have enough pictures for now.

With my camera hanging around my neck, I made my way toward where all of the hospitalities were located. I think I'll end up becoming a regular at hospitality this season with my increased need for coffee. Maybe I'll get how I am back home, where as soon as I walk in they start making my regular order. That would be nice.
