Taehyung sat on his bed, legs folded under one another as he unlocked his phone. He had freshened up and had dinner, his parents wasn't home yet as they still had a few hours ahead before they return home. But his mom made sure to squeeze out time to call him and confirm if he was at home safe and sound.

Taehyung scrolled through his contact list, searching for jungkook's contact, he heaved a sigh when he found it. He contemplated on calling him, he badly wanted to check up on him.. He still misses him and he still cared.

Tae clicked on jungkook's contact, eyes lingering on kookie's name.. A knot suddenly formed in the back of his throat, his hands trembling as he struggles to dial jungkook's number..

He suddenly toss his phone on the bed and laid flat on his back, using his soft pillows to cover his face, as if trying to suffocate himself.

Taehyung sat back up slowly and picked his phone for the second time, after being torn between fear and hesitation, he decided to text jungkook. It was more easier for him that way.

So with a very loud thumping heart, taehyung clicked on the 'message ' icon.

ME:

Hi kookie, I heard what happened to you.. I just wanted to make sure you're okay.

ME:

You should try to be careful next time, also get some gloves and face masks.. Uh, maybe you should take some anti biotics, just in case.

Taehyung watched with all nervousness as his message ticked, then getting a text that his messages had gone through, he instantly panicked and tossed his phone aside before rolling out of his bed..

He paced back and forth, biting his thumbnail in all nervousness, his thoughts running wild. Was jungkook going to text back? What is he likely to say?

Even under his air conditioned room, taehyung couldn't help but sweat profusely..

Time stopped and the hairs in the back of his neck stood erect when he heard his phone dinged.

Jungkook lets out a frustrating sigh as he parked his bike in the garage, he decided to go in through the door leading to the kitchen..

He stopped right in front of the refrigerator and opened it, he got out a gallon of milk that was almost finished and placed it on the countertop aggressively, still fussy about the ordeal with Eun ji.

He opened a cabinet, where cups were likely to be and got out a glass cup out, he poured himself a glassful of milk, making a mess on the countertop.

The milk was cold and refreshing just as jungkook wanted, he placed the remaining milk back in the refrigerator and cut out a paper towel to wipe off the mess he had made.

Jungkook sluggishly walked to the living room, heading for the stairs, the house was quiet like a graveyard, it was usually quiet these days, only the heavy sounds of his footsteps ascending the stairs could be heard.

He entered his room and closed the door behind him softly, he got off his backpack from his shoulder and threw it on the bed, he heads to his wardrobe whilst taking off his blazer..

With every movement he made, he couldn't help but reflect on the conversation, well more like the argument he had with Eun ji

/ you're so self-centered /

/ you see fault in others but never in yourself /

/  you're a JERK! /

Jungkook didn't know which of the lines got to him more, maybe it was Eun ji calling him a jerk that cuts deep through him..

Or maybe Eun ji being generally mad at him hurts him most, he just couldn't pinpoint how he got to this stage, everything he once cherished came crumbling in the blink of an eye..

He wasn't even in good speaking terms with his mom ever since he got into that fight, that fight ruined everything, it ruined and broke the bond he had with his mom, it ruined his relationship with Eun ji. But the fight wasn't the beginning of it all..

Jungkook frowned and shook his head slightly, trying to shake off his thoughts from that day, the day it all started.

He didn't want to remember, he didn't want to remember any of that unpleasant scene that happened that night. He didn't want to even remember the person whom caused all of this.. He was trying to forget but each day he wakes up and sees his mom's cold expression even while making him breakfast jungkook couldn't help but blame taehyung for everything.

Jungkook was brought out of his trance when he heard his phone dinged inside of his backpack.. He let go off his uniform he was holding in his hands, letting them fall on the floor as he heads to his bed where his backpack laid..

He wondered if it was his mom whom texted him, because that was basically what they do now, his mother never made a whole sentence with him since the day he said those mean things to her - which he's regretting now.

She'd only text him to run some errands like, taking the chicken out of the freezer to defroze or texting him to make lunch for himself alone.. Sometimes she'd leave a sticker note on the refrigerator and some money on the counter top asking jungkook to get the necessary things they would be needing in the  house. It's been like that for the past days and jungkook was getting tired of it - worse, guilt ate him up.. But he just didn't know how to go about his apology.

Kookie unzipped his backpack and dipped his hand in, reaching for his phone.. He sat as he unlocked his phone and clicked on the message icon

He frowned when he saw who the texts was from and the content of the message, after reading through the message he threw his phone on the bed and angrily darted to the bathroom..

As soon as he disappeared into the bathroom, he was out like a lightening, bolting towards his bed and picking up his phone, he opened taehyung's message and began to type aggressively on his phone..

When he was contented with what he had written, he pressed ' send ' and tossed his phone back on the bed before heading back into the bathroom...
