No one understands. It just happened. It's hard to explain. One second I was in science with Mrs Oxford, doing a boring test. I looked at the clock. Ten minutes to go. I began to work. About five minutes later I checked again. Still ten minutes. Odd, must be faulty. I looked at miss. She wasn't moving. I put my hand up. Nothing. I stood up. Nothing. I walked to her. Nothing. I tapped her. She fell on her side in the same position. "Help!!" I ran into Tech. "Sir, sir, Mrs Oxford isn't..." There laying on the floor was sir. Not moving. I smashed the fire alarm.

We all 'assembled' ourselves in the tennis courts. I looked. Not all year nines. No year tens. No year elevens. No sixth form. Everyone 14 and above was gone. Frozen. "HELLO," I shouted, "WE ARE ALL HERE AS THE TEACHERS AND SOME STUDENTS HAVE STOPPED, WE NEED A..." "Geek!!!" "Nerd!!!" Oh, I hadn't told you that. This was followed by laughter. A couple of my friends grabbed me. "Let's go."

We nipped over to my house and grabbed a few stuff. "I need to get my brother and sister," I realised. "Okay, but let's hurry, people are going to start breaking the law." "K." I looked at my mum one last time and ran to the primary school.

We climbed over the large green, mossy gate. I was shocked at how quickly things had changed. Children covered the playground, some crying, some laughing. I saw my siblings, or rather sibling. "Spike, help me, Scarlet is, is, is." "What is it Théo." "Theyearone'swhereplayinga gameofboysasegirlsandtheboysmanagedtolockthemintheshed andtheyarebeinghitwithsticks."

We darted around the main building and to the sports shed. There I saw a group of young children with large sticks hitting a group of girls to get them in the shed. I walked up to them and took out my wooden sword I knew I should have brought. I swung the sword in a dead badass style slaying the evil. Oh, wait, they were all five. I looked at them. One shook. One fell. Then they all began to cry. Daphne rounded them up and talked to them softly while glaring at me. Henry opened the door, letting the girls out.

I grouped all of the children and began to talk in my grand, majestic (and a bit squeaky) voice, "As you know all of the adults have stopped. Paused. What you don't know is that anyone over 14, I think, has paused as well. What we need to do is come together and create a colony. I have an ideal place. What we will then do is I will go with a few of you each day and try to take you to your house to get supplies. Now come with me and I can help you. But you need to help me in return." I waited. How was this going to be? I heard a few tears but eventually I had them all following me.

We made our way to a field surrounded by a cliff of trees. Next to it was a large stream. "Perfect." I whispered under my breath. Daphne walked up to me. "Can I have a private word please?" We walked behind a tree. "Spike, it's my, it's my birthday. I'm going to be 14. Can you help me?" "What time?" "3:00." I looked at my watch. Frozen. "I'd say about, mmmm, a minute." She leant over and held my shoulders. "Please, don't let me freeze, please, please, pl..." I checked. Frozen solid.
