The paintball guns bullets stung like hell. As soon as the bullet fired I saw Mike run to Carl and fired his B-B. Let's say even a modern hospital with adults couldn't help him.

Four days later and we had all settled with all of the new kids helping out. I pulled Mike, Jim, Jamie, Otto and Katie to one side. "Hmmm, I've got something to say. When we were fighting I, I saw Daphne." Otto did the cuckoo sign. Everyone began to laugh. Suddenly a girl ran up to us. "HELP! I just saw Daphne!" I looked at them. They looked back at me sheepishly.

After a few days the sightings of Daphne had risen by hundreds. Everyone had lots of theories. Some involved her being the reason why everyone paused and others being that she had never even paused. "YOU!" I looked. Arnold walked up to me. "I've just been punished for missing one day of work and when a poked about it turns out that you don't do any work at all!" I looked at the floor. I'd been busy that week trying to sort the Daphne situation out. "I'm sick of you being boss. I'm leaving! Come on Katie!" I looked at Katie. They'd been going out for ages and I knew she would leave with him. "Bye." Arnold grabbed a B-B and a knife and ran off with Katie. From that day on I always helped with as much work as I could.

I woke with a sudden shaking. "Let me sleep!" I sat up. There was no one there and it took me a while to realise that it was the floor that was shaking. I ran from my hut. I could hear people shouting. "Everyone, assemble your selves over the other side of the bridge NOW!"

Once we were over the bridge I tried to get everyone to listen but no one could hear me. In the end my voice was so load it probably could be heard from space. "I THINK THIS IS AN EARTH QUAKE! WE JUST NEED TO STAY CALM!" All of a sudden every hut fell down. CRASH! "Damn it!" I whispered. Me and a few others made our way slowly to the camp to check if anyone was still in a hut, maybe even a few trapped. We didn't find anyone but quite a few broken tools. With the ground still shaking we made our way back. Every so often there was a sudden massive shake and everyone was made jump.

Four days had passed and the shaking had begun to seem second nature. We had been doing fine but that all had to change. It was as if our life was seeming way too easy. A massive crack appeared, splitting the camp in two. People dived, running from the emerging chasm. Some just weren't quick enough, and were sucked into the abyss, falling to their doom. A few people just managed to grab onto the ledge and then were pulled back up. After constructing a makeshift fence and then began to peer over the edge. "Someone's going to have to go down there." I looked at the person who had said that. It was Jake. "Be my guest." I said. We then found a rope and tied it as tight as we could around this waist. "Let's go!" Jake then tipped himself over the edge. We then waited while letting the rope slowly slip through our fingers.

"Woah! What the hell is that?" Jake exclaimed. That was the first thing he had said in ages. It was also the last he ever said. The rope snapped.
