Chapter #8
I'm hardly holding up. As everyday passes by I feel impossible to survive.
Every night I wish the morning never showed up.Every morning,I hate the fact that I have to get up and go on with life.
Training has been really hard for me. I sometimes don't rest at all even on the weekends so I could train more since I'm always left behind. My body aches so badly every muscle, every inch of my body crying in pain.
Mr Martin is going to visit for evaluation today and I feel like I am really underprepared. If I don't do well this time I'm sure that I'll be kicked out. I'm trying my best to hold it. Even at this point I can't give a damn about school.
As all the people stood around the ring with Mr. Martin in center I feel like my heart is a time bomb and it's gonna blow up anytime soon.
The fight was over and I was waiting for him to say something. I think I did fine but before anyone could win he ceased the fight.
He took a deep breath and walked towards me looking straight into my face and broke the nerve racking silence.
“From tomorrow we'll move to the other center for level 2. You have passed this level. But i still need u to continue this training for a little longer”
From the day I met him till today this was the first time he said something and I liked it.
I've trained these entire two weeks learning how to spy on people. I've trained with a professional spy named Jane who worked with Mr.Martin.
She was really immaculate at her work and was very skillful although she was really harsh on me.
She made me work and learn till late night, made me tail on random people, taught me how to install spy cameras, taught me how to listen to conversation without looking suspicious.
Finally today she wanted to take my test and gave me a mission
MISSION : Albert John a secret messenger who stole files from our headquarters and on his way to deliver it to the enemy.
Tail him on his way to the enemy's office and get those files back without being caught.
I'm here with Jane on the rooftop of a building opposite to Albert's hideout. She focused her binoculars at the hideout restlessly waiting for him to come out.
“Keira, you can't mess this up. Those files are really confidential and if you don't get them back I will slaughter you. I have no idea why Martin wanted you to this when you're just a trainee”
I gave out a nervous laugh being absolutely agitated by her words.
“I will do my best Jane you won't have a chance to slaughter me”
She was about to say something but stopped and she focused her binoculars more.
“Look Keira!!! There he is. Run! Go! Catch him I'm rooting for you”
I gave her a stern nod. I made my way down the building, hopped on my scooter and started driving towards him.
He was traveling in a taxi and I was just 2 cars behind him. After a good twenty minutes of travel, the car finally turned into a narrow alley. I heard my earpiece ring and then heard Jane speaking.
“How is it going? Have you reached the office yet?”
“Not yet Jane. But I think I'm almost there,”I replied.
The car finally stopped in front of a building. I got distraught and pressed hard on the brakes of my scooter so I could stop a block away from the office.
