Overview

Sarah Louise Troughton was born on 2nd April 1997 to Andrew and Elyse Troughton. She had a significant baring in the family, being the eldest child.

Growing up in Andrew's family was turbulent. Even her christening in 1998 went up in flames as everyone knew that Andrew shopped Oliver to the police.

2011: Toward the end of the year, Sarah began feeling unwell, experiencing pain and fatigue that she couldn’t explain. However, her father, Andrew, dismissed her symptoms as nothing more than attempts to avoid school. His refusal to acknowledge her pain left Sarah feeling isolated and scared, unable to understand why she was feeling so terrible.

2012: In February, Sarah’s condition took a severe turn when she collapsed at home. She was found by her cousin David and Uncle Oliver, who rushed her to the hospital. It was there that she was diagnosed with cancer, a revelation that sent shockwaves through the family. As Sarah’s condition deteriorated, particularly in August when her prognosis looked grim, the family rallied around her, offering support and love. Yet, Andrew remained angry and, in denial, unable to cope with the possibility of losing his daughter. His refusal to engage emotionally with Sarah’s illness further strained their relationship, leaving Sarah feeling even more alone during the most challenging time of her life.

2013-2015: The aftermath of her illness and treatment left Sarah struggling with her self-esteem and body image. The physical and emotional scars of her battle with cancer made her increasingly withdrawn. She spent much of her time indoors, avoiding social interactions and becoming more isolated. These years were marked by a deep depression, as Sarah grappled with the lasting impact of her illness and the ongoing tension with her father.

2016: A turning point came when Sarah met the newest addition to the Matthews family, a young man who had been adopted by Jeffrey and Stacy. The two quickly formed a close bond, with Sarah finding comfort and companionship in someone who understood what it felt like to be different and to struggle with identity. Their connection was so strong that they decided to take a holiday together to Amsterdam, a trip that marked the beginning of a new chapter in Sarah’s life. This relationship helped Sarah start to come out of her shell, offering her a sense of belonging and happiness that had been missing for so long.

2017-2018: Over the next two years, Sarah and her partner grew even closer. Their relationship blossomed into a deep and abiding love, with Sarah finding in him not only a partner but also a source of strength and support. During these years, Sarah continued to heal, both physically and emotionally, as her partner encouraged her to rebuild her life and pursue her passions. Their relationship became a central part of Sarah’s life, helping her to see a future filled with possibilities rather than just the shadows of her past.

2019: In a moment that symbolized her new beginning, Sarah got engaged to her partner. The proposal was a beautiful and emotional event, marking a significant milestone in her journey of recovery and personal growth. For Sarah, the engagement was more than just a commitment to her partner; it was a declaration of her intent to live her life fully and joyfully, despite the challenges she had faced.

2023: After years of building their life together, Sarah and her partner were married in a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by family and friends. The wedding was a celebration of love, resilience, and the strength Sarah had shown in overcoming her past. For Sarah, the day represented the culmination of a long journey toward healing and happiness. It was a new beginning, a moment where she could finally put the pain of her past behind her and look forward to a future filled with love, hope, and new possibilities.
