Wilbur POV

I'm running away with Quackity.

He lays there in bed, silently thinking about that. It sounds so dumb, running away with someone he's only known for a few months, yet Quackity is somehow more important to him than his lifelong home.

Am I making the wrong choice? Wilbur wonders to himself. He glances over to where Quackity is sitting on his own bed silently. He looks majestic just sitting there staring into space like that.

"Hey Q?" he asks.

"Yeah?" the other assassin turns to look at him. "You want to cuddle?"

"No, not that," Wilbur replies. "How are we gonna run away?"

"Well," Quackity hesitates. "I'm thinking we do it on a mission. What we need to know is how they track us."

"I'm sure Nick and Karl know a lot about that," Wilbur tells him. "We can ask them."
He pauses for a bit.
"Do you want to cuddle?"

The other assassin hesitates, then nods in shame.

Wilbur beckons him over with a smile. "I'd love to do that."

Quackity takes his time walking over, the taller male can tell it's because he doesn't want to come off desperate.

"Hey Quackity, what happened to our deal? Y'know, whoever saves the other more gets to request something from them," Wilbur asks as the shorter male reaches his bed.

"Eh, called it off I guess," the shorter male slowly slides into bed with him. "I win anyways."

Wilbur grumbles a little. "No you don't."

"I've saved you more," Quackity grins.

"Give me the numbers then," Wilbur requests.

Quackity hesitates.

"Hah, got you," Wilbur grins. Quackity just moves away a little from his arms in a pout.

"Heyyy nooo," Wilbur complains and reaches for the other man.

Quackity moves back close again and presses into Wilbur's body happily. The other man puts an arm around him.

"I win?" Quackity asks.

"Fine you win, what do you want me to do? Go bald?" Wilbur asks with a grin.

"No!" Quackity exclaims. "I mean, ahem, I like your hair. I'd like you to... uhhh..." he tries to come up with something. "I'll figure it out later."

"Distracted?" Wilbur teases him lightly.

"Perhaps," the other assassin presses into him even more.

"Hey... um, I'm scared to run away," Wilbur admits. "This has been my home for basically my whole life... and... I'm leaving it, I don't know what to do."

"Do you want to kill people for the rest of your life? It's just not fair to us," Quackity murmurs. "It's gonna be difficult... but we have each other."

"Yeah," Wilbur replies with a small smile. "As long as I'm with you it's going to be ok."
There's still a prickle of doubt he's feeling. Leaving the commander? She practically raised him at the agency, she made it home. Then there's the promise of being able to avenge his parents.

Wilbur feels like freaking out and telling the commander Quackity's plans, but he can't do that. Even if he wimps out, Quackity deserves the freedom he wants.
Speaking of that... she had told him Quackity has to die. On some random mission she may order him to kill the other assassin and he has to be prepared for that moment.

I can't do it, I can't raise the gun at someone I've come to care for this much. He has so much more life to live, we both do.

Wilbur hasn't even gotten an answer on officially being lovers. He needs to know before everything goes to shit. He worries something is going to happen and their entire plan will come crashing down.

He focuses on Quackity's body pressed close to his instead. He needs to protect the other assassin no matter what.

Quackity POV

Quackity can tell how worried Wilbur is about running away. It makes sense, he's been completely raised here and wants to trust his home.
He gently snuggles closer to hopefully provide comfort. It's nice to be close to someone again after losing Luzu. He knows it's too late to fix it now anyways, he made his choice.

Wilbur looks down at him a little as they cuddle. "I'm so sorry about what happened with the guy from your old agency... Luzu, yeah, I'm just... really sorry.'

"You took me from the old agency but I chose to stay here," Quackity murmurs in response. "Really I'm the one to blame..."

"No... you're never the one to blame, remember that," Wilbur tells him. He insists it so strongly that the shorter male has to believe him.

Wilbur gently leans down to kiss him gently.
"I stole you from your home," he whispers. "I don't understand why you aren't still mad..."

"I made a new home here," Quackity whispers back. "With you. It's only home because you are here."

"I think that's the best thing someone's ever said to me," the other man looks so warm and happy.
Quackity just smiles in response.

Wilbur slowly turns onto his back and the shorter male changes positions too so that he can still be close. He presses into the other assassin's side, resting his head on his chest.

Wilbur's hand strokes his hair softly and he feels like falling asleep right here.

I'm in love... he thinks to himself.

"I'm still waiting on an answer..." the other man reminds him of his promise to think about being lovers.

"I know," Quackity replies. "I'm nearly there... I just have to..." he pauses. He's not sure what else he has to do.

Wilbur nods a little but looks disappointed and worried. Quackity snuggles close to him in response to hopefully make it somewhat better.

"I do have feelings for you though, I just have to be brave enough to accept them fully."

"Ok..." Wilbur murmurs.

The two lay there for a while together until Quackity starts to feel himself drifting off. Every time he blinks his eyes don't want to open again.
He's planning on getting up before he falls asleep on Wilbur because that's embarrassing, but it's so nice here.

It isn't long before he is too tired to force his eyes back open and he slowly sinks into sleep, forgetting that he was going to leave Wilbur's bed and go back to his own.
