_KHALIL_

As soon as I stepped into that house, my mother began speaking about how she got a call from Ilham's parent and how they've both decided to shift the wedding closer as we are 'too in love' with each other.

I could literally feel the sarcasm in my mothers tone as she speaks. It as if she knows that's not actually the case but she's still going to play along because she wants this wedding to happen more than anyone in this family.

My father didn't say much, he has always been a man of few words and even when mum was bickering, he said a few relevant stuffs and allowed mum to say the rest.

When my parents were done with everything they had to say, I carried myself upstairs to my room and turned on my phone as I quickly made the necessary calls I needed to make.

With that being done, I put the phone down and fell asleep only to be met with the sound of the adhaan for morning prayer waking me up some hours later. I groaned and got up to pray in the mosque.

After coming back from the mosque with Abba, I fell asleep immediately, hoping to have a peaceful sleep for once. Just then a disturbing dream met me in my sleep,

It was the same girl from my previous dream. I could see myself hugging her, I could literally feel the emotion I've for her. The same birthmark, the same smile.

Eventually, her face became crystal clear for me to see and without a doubt it was her.
Ilham.

"Where did you get this from?" I asked tracing the small dark mark on her chin.

She smiled, bringing my hand down from the mark to hold it in her own,
"I was born with it." She replied.

"It's beautiful." I said going again to touch it.

"You said it was ugly before." She reminded.

"Before.." I said.

A loud knock from the door jerked me awake the morning of the next day, morning ?
At least that's what I thought until I checked the clock only to see that it's already pass twelve in the afternoon.

I muttered a prayer and got up to open the door, my mother was the one at the door-her face looking as worried as ever. She was all dressed up nicely as usual.

"Get ready now. We're going to the hospital."
She said.

"What happened?" My eyes became clear with my sleep suddenly disappearing.

"It's Ilham...just meet us in the City hospital. Your dad and I are going now." She said not providing me with any further information.

I quickly bath and freshened up in a casual green clothing, offered my salat and went out with my car key.

From my point of view, I thought I was actually fast with getting ready but I realized that I actually almost used half an hour in doing that. My parents already left and I'm left with no choice but to drive myself there.

I can not remember the last time I landed my feet in a hospital, the thought alone stresses my mind. The atmosphere of a hospital is never a type of atmosphere I like.
