   _KHALIL_

If I knew the history behind that old phone, I would not have broken it. It belongs to her mother, all this while I thought her mother was Hajara. Turns out that Hajara is her step mother and her biological mother is dead. I would've never noticed, no one ever told me.

I cursed internally. I might have messed up there. I only wanted to get rid of the attention those shameless mens'  have on her.

I was driving to the person I can trust with the fixing of the phone, I parked my car right outside of Samuel's building.

He has been the one repairing most of the damage technological devices in our family, I think I can trust him with this.

I parked my car right outside of his house, it's nearly two thirty and it's obviously quite late. I knocked and once the gateman opened the door of the house, I entered inside without any questioning.

I walked inside and was not surprised to find Samuel in his office that's in the house working on some damaged stuffs. He removed his glasses when he saw me and offered me an exhausted smile.

We exchanged a few pleasantries and he quickly began working on the phone after I told him I'll pay him more if he could fix it for me now.

Samuel was denying the offer at first because he has other stuffs to work on so I had to add more to the price before he agreed to it. Though he said it'll take some hours even though he'll try to be fast.

I sat on the spare chair waiting for him to be done, my eyes watching what he's doing carefully. I knew I could trust him because it seems like he actually knows what he's doing.

It took a few hours as he said before he passed the phone to me, it looks repaired, though not as it was before but it still looks okay. I transferred the money to his account and shook hands with him.

I left with the now repaired phone on my hand, checking the time through the phone, I realized it's almost five in the morning. I sigh and entered inside the car.

This has surely been stressful.

Well, at least it got repaired and the pictures and everything inside is back. The memory card is in tact and everything else is good. The whole stress was worth it.

I reached home about half after four, I parked the car and entered inside. My strides long as I feel ecstatic to show the girl her repaired phone after saying it can not be repaired.

But just as I entered inside, I saw her sleeping by her right side of the bed. She seems to be fond of the right side of the bed while for me any side is okay as long as it's clean and neat.

I put the phone on my bed side drawer and laid on the other side of the bed. I will give her tomorrow.

I woke up the morning of the next day, with no one beside me. Getting up, I prayed and got dressed before going downstairs. Repairing my wrist watch on my wrist as I perceived a very nice aroma of food. My stomach grumbled against my wish.

I followed the direction of the aroma and it led me to the kitchen, I had thought it'll be the housemaid mum assigned to us cooking but I was surprised to see Ilham in the kitchen. Her back view covering me from seeing the thing she is frying.

I walked to stand beside her, that's when she noticed my presence. She gave me a quick glance before looking away. I leaned my back and watch her, when she put the first set of fried potatoes in the colander-I carried one and out it in my mouth.

She ignored me, carrying another one I put it in my mouth too. Just as I was about to reach for the third one, she smacked my hand away saying something about how I need to calm down. I helped the girl in setting the table as we both begin to eat.

I have the repaired phone in my pocket and I can not imagine how shocked she'll be to see it repaired. We were both in the middle of our breakfast when we heard a knock at the door, at first I told her to just ignore it and we went back to continue eating but when it sounded again. Louder this time.

We both stood up. While she got up calmly, I was more of frustrated to have someone banging on the door by this time and trust me when I say I was ready to face whosoever was behind that door, until it was opened.

I was surprised to see some army personnel including five policemen that work with us standing outside the door, holding up their ID cards they quickly reached behind me to handcuff my hands. I grew confused trying to fight the five of them off, what is this all about ?
