_ILHAM_
I was not even done dressing up his wounds for him to walk away like that as if he had seen some ghost. What a weird guy. I closed up the first aid box, shut the boot of the jeep and walked back into the hall.
I refused to walk back to his parents side because I'm sure they'll start asking me about his injury or his whereabouts, and I clearly don't have an answer for that.
I instead walked to where Amin sat seeing as my parents are with Aunt Waleeda in their reserved seats to greet them.
I sat down beside Amin who began raising an eyebrow at me.
"What?" I asked, confusion written in bold letters on my face."So you declined the proposals of two huge business men because you already have a military general Ya Ilham." Amin stated. I paused trying to figure out what he's saying.
A general ? Which general—
Wait what??
"You mean he is a general ?" I asked the king of gossip swayed beside me.
Amin gasped as if he could not believe I didn't know who the general of the army is. I mean I didn't really care about military stuffs, in fact I don't even know any military man in my entire 24 years of living in this world.
"Well. That man you just walked out side with is the military general of this country." Amin said studying my compose face before adding "That's the second highest rank in the military."
I could now understand why there's this dark aura of being around him, it's like he just wants to kill everyone. Maybe he was even planning my death already. Maybe I was annoying him—
"Don't you know the position of your own boyfriend now?" Amin asked to which I playfully punched his arm as I went further to explain to him how he was bleeding and I offered to help.
"Hmmm I heard." Amin said clearly not sounding like he believes anything I just told him now. I glared at him.
"I said I believe your story." He added."It's not a story you moron." I added punching his arm again and again and again
"You're definitely not planning to break my arm are you?" Amin asked pulling his dear arm away from my clutches.I roamed my gaze around the room only for my eyes to land on an unfamiliar man that was sending smiles my way and even waved his hand to me. I turned to face Amin who is focusing on whatsoever he's doing on his phone.
"Amin....." I called.
"Mhmmm..?" He replied his gaze still on his phone.
"Did you give any one here my number ?" I asked already knowing the reason why I'm getting smiles from that man.
"Only a few." Amin replied, his honesty irking me up.
I most definitely have to buy a new SIM card now because I can't have people sending me messages from random numbers. All because of Amin, I have to be blocking peoples' numbers every.single.day.
"But you do know they have some weird spiritual family issues." Amin said out of the blue and I'm brought back to the person I met earlier. I've heard stuffs about Aunt Waleeda's husband being blind before but that's all I know.
"He seemed fine." I added not remembering seeing anything wrong with his eyes, he could see.
"Fine, right?" Amin asked putting an extra emphasis on the 'fine' while I was quick to dismiss his thoughts
"I mean fine not fine." I replied glaring at Amin who did not stop telling me gossips about the general's family."His brother was blind, I'm sure he's not normal too. Their family is super weird." Amin continued while I could feel the fear already creeping into my skin.
I wonder how Aunt Waleeda is feeling being in a family with a weird spiritual problems.
"Amin, have you even greeted them?" I asked knowing that since when we've arrived he has been sitting here pressing his phone.
Amin looked up at me and he didn't need to speak because the kind of eyes he gave me already told me that he didn't go to greet them.
"Get up and greet them Amin." I urged the guy that's seated beside me with his attention on his phone."Me I'm sacred oh." Amin admitted turning off his phone as he put it inside his pocket.
"The rumors are real. I'm sure of it." Amin added. Sometimes I wonder how he gets to hear all these rumors to start with."Fine like escort you there." I said getting up with Amin beside me who finally agreed to go meet them. I stood behind Amin as he went ahead and greeted them.
They replied, nicely warning him up with their hospitality and I could feel Amin loosening up to them from the way he speaks.
"Ilham, how is Khalil's injury ?" Aunt Waleeda asked me suddenly bringing me to remember how the man walked away while I wasn't even done with his wounds.
"Its..okay." I managed to reply wondering where in the world he walked off to as I glanced around trying to find the man to come and answer his family.
Seeing as Amin is getting along with them quite well, I sneakily left to walk back to where we were seating before just so that I won't get anymore questions. Because I know I don't have answers to them.
I sighed placing myself on my seat while I scroll through my phone to pass time. A waitress came to drop some drinks and food on my table.
