Chapter Seven A Pregnancy Nightmare!

Reader's POV
As the months went by Mikasa's mood changed. Eren was scared to speak in case he said the wrong thing. Mikasa was like a ticking time bomb in her third trimester.
Eren had to make sure he was on his best behavior around her. She was a pregnancy nightmare with her hormones. Each day she was in a different mood which could change at any moment.
Eren came home from work and he hesitated at the doorway, immediately sensing the tension in the air. Mikasa was sitting on the couch, arms crossed, staring ahead with that unmistakable "resting bitch face" that made him freeze in place. He slowly approached, trying to gauge her mood, his heart racing.
"Hey...how was your day?" Eren asked cautiously, his voice soft, hoping not to trigger anything.
Mikasa didn't answer at first, simply letting the silence linger. Finally, without turning to him, she muttered, "What do you think?"
Eren swallowed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Tough day, huh?"
Mikasa shot him a sharp glance, and he immediately regretted saying anything. "You think?" she snapped, her voice rising, "I'm carrying your child, my feet are swollen, I can't sleep, and I can't even get comfortable on this damn couch!"
Eren's eyes widened, and he nodded quickly. "You're right, you're absolutely right," he said, trying to stay calm. "I...I'll get you some water, maybe rub your feet? Anything you need?"
Mikasa's glare softened just a little at his offer, but she remained silent, her eyes narrowing as she decided whether to let him off the hook.
"Fine. Get me water," she finally said, turning back to the TV without another word.
Eren practically sprinted to the kitchen, grateful that he'd survived another close call.
He came back with her water and her face changed. It was more soft and he relaxed as he sat next to her. She leaned into his touch.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you! It's not your fault!" She said as Eren smiled softly, wrapping his arms around her as she leaned into his embrace.
"It's okay," He whispered, kissing the top of her head. "I know you're going through a lot. I just want to help however I can."
Mikasa let out a deep sigh, her body relaxing a little more against his. "I just hate feeling so out of control," she admitted quietly. "One minute I'm angry, the next I'm sad...I don't even know why half the time."
Eren pulled her closer, stroking her hair gently. "I get it, and it's totally normal," he reassured her. "You're doing an amazing job, and I'm here for you no matter what mood you're in."
Mikasa smiled weakly, feeling a bit of the tension lift. "You always know what to say."
Eren chuckled softly. "I'm learning. Just glad I didn't mess it up this time."
Mikasa laughed lightly and snuggled against him. "Thank you for being so patient."
"Always," Eren replied, squeezing her gently. They sat there in silence for a moment, the tension from earlier forgotten, replaced with a warm, comfortable calm.
"You're going to be an amazing dad," Mikasa said after a while, her voice soft.
Eren smiled, his heart swelling. "And you're going to be the best mom," He said, his hand resting on her belly as they both imagined the life they were about to welcome into the world.
