Chapter Twenty Five Just A Few Months Left!

A few months later

Mikasa's feeling of unease since the party is lingering, though she can't quite put her finger on what's wrong. It's strange that Mika's behavior has been so perfect recently, which seems a bit unusual given her past mischief. Meanwhile, Eli is growing older by the day, adding to the sense of change in their household.

She was sick but then again she felt sick So she decided to take herself to the doctor to make sure she was okay. Eren was at work, Mika was at school and Eli was at daycare so this timing was perfect.

Mikasa got a blood test and a normal check and everything was normal until a certain result from the blood test came positive. Mikasa was shocked but kind of happy she went back home feeling a mixture of joy and panic as she realized what this result meant.

Eren finished work and picked the kids up from school and daycare. Mikasa was upstairs in their room when Eren and the kids got home. Mika ran upstairs to show her mother her drawing from school while Eren unpack the bags downstairs.

Mikasa quickly tucked the test results into her bedside table just as Mika burst into the room, her face glowing with excitement.

"Mommy, look at what I drew today!" Mika exclaimed, holding up a colorful picture. Mikasa smiled warmly, pulling her daughter onto the bed to take a closer look at the drawing.

"It's beautiful, sweetheart," she said, wrapping an arm around Mika while her thoughts raced. The pregnancy news was still fresh in her mind, but she kept her focus on her daughter for the moment.

As Eren unpacked downstairs, unaware of the news, Mikasa felt a mix of emotions, joy, anxiety, and the uncertainty of how to share the news with him. She knew it would change everything again, just like it had the last time, but there was a sense of excitement mixed in with the nervousness.

She stole a glance at the drawer where she had hidden the results, knowing the moment was coming soon when she'd have to share it with Eren.

The rest of the day was normal, Mika did her homework while Mikasa cooked dinner. Eren was playing with Eli in the living room.

"I'm done!" Mika said as she got up from the table.

"Good now you can go play with your father while I cook dinner" Mikasa said Mika ran into the living room.

Mikasa listened to the sounds of laughter coming from the living room as she continued to chop vegetables for dinner. Eren was always so good with the kids, and it warmed her heart to hear their playful banter.

"Watch this, Eli!" she heard Mika shout, followed by the sound of toy blocks clattering to the floor. Mikasa chuckled to herself, feeling grateful for the little moments that made up their family life.

As she stirred the pot on the stove, she couldn't help but think about how to break the news to Eren. The thought of telling him she was pregnant again filled her with both excitement and anxiety. Would he be surprised? Happy? She hoped he would be.

After a while, she called out, "Dinner's almost ready! You guys can wash up!"

Mika and Eli dashed into the kitchen, their faces flushed from playing. Eren followed closely behind, a smile on his face. "What are you cooking tonight?" he asked, wrapping his arms around Mikasa's waist as he leaned in to give her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Just something simple," Mikasa replied, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "I was thinking of making your favorite."

Eren grinned. "You always know how to make me happy," he said, then turned to the kids. "All right, little chefs, let's set the table!"
