Ch. 25 New waitress

Jimin was cleaning the tables at the cafe, waiting for Jin, who surprisingly wasn't here yet, and the new employee.

"Hellooo, I'm here for the job!"
Jimin looked up and was surprised to see standing in front of him. What kind of coincidence is this. How was he supposed to act in front of her exactly, now that he just learned that she broke up with Hobi?
"Hey! Jin hyung isn't here yet, but let me start with some things~"

"So you heard too right," Said Army as she was putting on the apron Jimin gave her, noticing him avoiding eye contact.
"Yes, I did, I'm so sorry," answered Jimin, still not sure where to look.
"Ah well, life goes on." She shrugged, and that's when Jin arrived. He was late, and it was unusual
"Morning Hyung, did Namjoon hyung turn your alarm off again?"
"No, he didn't turn it off. He broke it! I dont even know how he did it! So voila voila, anyway! Oh, Army! you're already here, nice! Jimin, I'll let you explain to Army how it works here, and I'll go prepare pastries right away. " he rushed in the staff room to get ready and start cooking.

"....Soooo, let's get going then. Welcome in the team,"
"Yep! Please take care of me. "
"It's gonna be fun, you'll see!"
"If each morning is like this, sure!"
"Hahah if Jin hyung is late. It's 90% his partner's doing,"
"Haha, I'm familiar with Namjoon oppa's clumsiness."

And so Jimin explained her everything, how the coffee machine works, how to manage the till, the break room, and Jin's kitchen and how you can't step foot in there in any circumstances.

"Hey, so how is Hwayoung? Is she still found of her 'yoonie bear'?" Asked Army, remembering the little girls tantrum because of her lost teddy bear.
"Oh right, you witnessed that... she loves that plushie. She ALWAYS carries it with her. She even took it for her first day at her new daycare! Got pictures want to see them??"
"Must be so cute! Of course, show me!"
"Here look, hobi hyung send them to me, I use him as my-" Thats when he realized talking about him in front of her was maybe not the best idea. "...Sorry"
"Oh come on, I dont care, speak freely about him,"
Jimin wasn't sure how to react to that
"Anyway, show me these pictures!"

Jimin got a call from Yoongi during his lunch break. He told him he had something to take care of quickly at work and took Hwa with him. But it wouldn't take long.

Army opened the door to the break room, but as she saw that Jimin was on the phone, she slowly closed the door, but he stopped her with a hand sign. "You can stay. I'm done,"
As he finished his call, she couldn't help but hear the caller's name; Yoongi, or Suga as many know him. She didn't want anyone to go through what she went through. "That was 'Suga', right?"
"Indeed."
"Are you sure leaving Hwa with him is a good idea? It might not be safe! Be careful."
"To be honest I myself am a bit surprised at how great he is with her so dont worry, and if you're talking about Yoongi being 'Suga' I know" he answered with a small smile, knowing why she was telling him that.
"You know?! He told you? Or you found out?"
"He told me,"
"How long were you dating when he did?"
"A month"
"See, that's perfect timing! Aish stupid sunshine boy, why didn't you do the same? "
"Yeaaa, 2 years is a lot, I dont know how I would have reacted,"
"Right? I feel so stupid for not realizing earlier" she let herself fall on a chair "But at the same time I understand him, it's not an easy thing to announce, how did he tell you? How did you take it? Great, I guess, based on that call, I'm so sorry you can just ignore this"

Jimin felt that Army needed to talk. Her telling she is alright must be just a mask.

From the break room, they heard Jin call for them, telling them a customer was there. Army stood up first "oke let me try this one myself!"
However, if she knew who the customer was, she would have never volunteered. She recognized him as soon as she stepped out of the break room. How could she not? She hesitated, asking Jimin to take her place, but her pride took over, she would do it herself, come on, Army.
With a smile, or at least the best she could show, she went behind the counter. "Hello! Sorry for the wait and welcome at Jin's Cafe, may I take your order?"

Hoseok obviously didn't expect her to be here, and for a moment, he stood there looking at her, wondering if he was dreaming "Army? What are you doing here?"
"I'm working, your order?"
"Working?" Then he remembered he came to get Yoongi's coffee."Ah yes, an Americano, please, large, no sugar, extra ice, "
She was surprised hearing his order, he hates bitter drinks, not like him to order this "weird comming from you" she tapped his order on the tablet "total is 4'500₩"
"By card please, and it's for Yoongi hyung," he paid for it.
"Getting his coffee, Waw so dangerous," she said full of sarcasme as she prepared his order.
Hoseok got the irony, and it hurt. She was angry, and it was understandable. "Army, let's talk, please."
She put the drink in a bag and handed it to him. "Your order is ready, thanks."

Without another word, he took the bag and dejected he looked at her. Once she was done with him, she didn't spare him a glance and cleaned the utensils she used. He let out a sigh and left the cafe.

Jimin, who witnessed the whole thing, didn't dare interrupt them, but now was the right time for him to get back behind the counter. Army didn't say a word, so Jimin was the one to break the silence. "... You handle that like a bos-"
Did he hear her sniffle, "Army? Are you okay? Sorry, I should have replaced you then. "
"No, no, it's oke," After a little pause, she slaped both her cheeks, suprising Jimin in the process. "I'm working right now! No personal feelings!"

I was a little sad writing Hobi's and Army's interaction, kind of regret breaking them up🥲

Also, a little explanation about why Army took so long to realize her sunshine was a gangster😂
Suga has 2 right-hands
->Jungkook, the one everyone knows, up front doesn't hide the fact that he is from the Min gang
->Jhope the one taking care of subtle things (meaning he has to be less "known")
Yoongi gives him task regarding their cover-up business, meaning he has to meet people who don't know he is part of the Min gang
