Ch.19 Holly and the choco milk...

Jimin put his phone down with a sigh.
When they picked Hwayoung up last night, he felt that his friend was feeling down. On the moment, Taehyung used 'fatigue' as an excuse, so Jimin let it go, but he texted him as soon as he got home.
And now it is morning and no answer from Tae... Starting to get really worried, he texted him once again, asking him if everything was okay and if he maybe wanted to hang out tonight. This time, he answered pretty fast.

{Yes yes sorry i fell asleep last night and forgot to text back~}
{And tonight is not great. I got to prepare a commission for tomorrow...}
{But what about tomorrow?}

Jimin was still a bit worried, but the idea of seeing him on monday was reassuring. Maybe Tae needed some time, or maybe Jimin was only overthinking it... no impossible, his soulmate radar was on, something was troubling his friend.

Hwayoung called from the living room. "Chimmyyyyyyyy can Hwa have choco mik??"
"Of course, just a second, let me prepare it,"

With Hwa's milk in a baby bottle, he joined her in the living room. She took the little bottle, sat on the floor next to her toys, and started drinking it.
Jimin took place on the sofa while Hwa was playing with her teddy bear. He was on his phone looking at his chat with Taehyung, still concerned.
He then heard a spilling noise and immediately turned to look at Hwayoung. She had opened her baby bottle and poured the milk on the teddy bear.
"Ah noooo, Hwa, what are you doing?"
"Howy wants choco mik too," she explained proudly with a grin
"Holly doesn't need to drink milk choco, now he is all dirty..."
"Dety?"
"Yes, look, he is all wet, ew, we have to wash him now, you can't play with him like this, or you will also get dirty,"

He took the teddy bear, Hwa looked at him, not understanding everything. He walked away to the bathroom. Seeing that he left the room, Hwa waited a bit to see if he would come back. When he didn't, she got up and ran after him "Chimmyyyy". As she stepped into the bathroom, she witnessed the teddy bear turning in the ongoing washing machine. "Howy? Nooo Chimmy kiwed Howy!!" She stuck her face to the clear door looking at the teddy bear
"Nono, dont worry, he is not dead, just washing. In an hour, he will be all clean, come Hwa, let's get back to the living room,"
He left, but the little girl didn't follow.

The instant he sat down, he heard the little girl cry so he instantly got up and ran to her "what's wrong Hwa?" She was sitting in front of the washing machine pointing at the teddy bear while crying Holly's name.
Jimin crouched down next to her and, with a soothing voice, tried to comfort her "hey hey Hwa, dont worry, Holly is alright. In less than an hour, he will be out, trust Chimmy~"
"N-noo, get him o-out now," she said between two sobs
"We can't get him out now, he isnt clean yet,"
"Hwa want Howy!!"
"Hwa-"
"Noooow!!"
Jimin was surprised at first, Hwayoung is usually a calm kid, so hearing her yell like this wasn't common.
"Oke enough." he picked her up and walked out of the bathroom. She thrashed around, still crying "noooo Howy!!!"
He put her down next to her toys. "Here, until Holly is clean, you can play with your other toys."
She glared at him, took one of the toys in her hand, threw it on the ground, and crossed her arms. Jimin let out a sigh. What was he supposed to do. He didn't expect her to react like this, now what?

"Fine, break your other toys. It won't make time go by faster."
She huffed and turned her back at Jimin. "Chimchim mean, Hwa wants Yonnie!"

Did she just ask for Yoongi? She had grown close to him this last month, but Jimin didn't expect her to ask for him in this kind of situation.
He was afraid things wouldn't go that well between the two since Yoongi doesn't look like the type to get along with kids, but here Hwa proved him wrong.

And speaking of the devil, Jimin got an incoming call from Yoongi. He picked up the call, surprised by his timing.
"How did you do this? Did you hear her call your name or what?"
Yoongi noticed the distress in Jimin voice, and he could hear the little girl crying in the background so he knew it was related [what? Something is wrong with the kid?]
"I dont know how to calm her hyuuung, she got upset because I put her teddy bear to wash and now she is crying because she wants to see you"
[She wants to see me?]
"You seem surprised. She really likes you, you know~" said Jimin proudly.
[Why are you the one proud?] He chuckled. [Then why don't you come over?]
"But aren't you at work? Wouldn't want to bother"
[Working from home today, just have a meeting this afternoon, but after that, I'll free some time]
"Sure? I mean, she should stop crying eventually. "
[Nono, it's oke, plus she doesn't seem ready to calm down by the sound of her cries, I'm sending a car to pick you up]
"Oke, thanks~ Ah, wait! Before you hang up! One last thing! By any chance, did Jungkook tell you something about yesterday?"
[Barely saw him today, but no nothing, why? did something happen?]
"Hmmm, Tae didn't seem well yesterday and thought maybe they had a fight or something."
[Ah, sorry, Kitten can't help you more on this]
"Nono, it's fine, dont worry~ I'll get a bag ready with Hwa's stuff. See you soon." he kissed the phone and hung up. Went back to the living room where Hwa was still crying her lungs out.
"Yoongi is waiting for us, but if you dont calm down, we won't go."
She immediately stopped and said between two sniffles, "...Yoonie? *sniff* weally?"
"Only if you stop crying."
She wiped her eyes and nose with her sleeves and straightened herself. "No crying anymore!"
