It was Janmashtami, and the entire Rajvansh family had gathered in Udaipur for the celebrations. By evening, the haveli was transformed, adorned beautifully in a Gokul theme. The lights and decorations gave the place a magical, festive feel. In her room, Ragini was getting ready for the pooja. She wore a multicolor pastel lehenga that complimented her perfectly, the soft hues making her look ethereal.
As she carefully applied her eyeliner in front of the mirror, the door swung open, and Karanveer walked in.
"Haye, you look pretty, wife," his voice startled her.
Caught off guard, her hand slipped, and the eyeliner smudged. Ragini shot him a glare, her irritation evident as she grabbed tissues to fix the mistake.
"What? What did I do?" Karanveer asked, confused by the sudden shift in her mood. He stepped closer, still watching her as she dabbed at the smudge.
As he got a better look at her, his expression suddenly changed. His eyes widened, and he looked almost...shocked.
"Iska peeche ka kahan hai?" he asked, his tone a mix of disbelief and concern.
Ragini frowned in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
"Your blouse!" he gestured, pointing behind her. "Why does it look like half of it's missing?"
"It's fine! The design is like that," Ragini replied, slightly defensive.
Karanveer wasn't having it. His face hardened, irritation flashing in his eyes. "No, it's not fine. Why the hell is so much of your back showing? Are you seriously planning on going out like this?"
Ragini crossed her arms, now starting to feel her own frustration rise. "It's the style, veer! This is how it's supposed to look."
"Well, I don't like it. Go change," he demanded, his tone firm and possessive.
"Excuse me?" Ragini raised her eyebrow, her voice growing sharper. "I'm not changing. This looks perfectly fine."
"If you think I'm letting you step out of this room dressed like that, you're mistaken. No one's leaving this room until you change."
Ragini huffed in disbelief. "Are you kidding me?"
"I'm serious, Ragini. You're not going out like this. I'll be damned if other people see this much of you," he said, his jaw clenched, eyes dark with determination.
Ragini's temper flared. "You are being ridiculous! It's just a blouse!"
"It's not just a blouse when half of it is missing," he shot back, his voice low and possessive.
She was about to argue further, but the intensity in his eyes caught her off guard. His protectiveness, his possessiveness—it was overbearing but also... there was something undeniably sincere about it. He wasn't just being controlling; he was genuinely worried about how exposed she was.
