Seungmin wasn't someone who showed love through grand gestures. His affection was quiet, subtle, like the soft click of a camera capturing a moment no one else noticed.
Hyunjin quickly learned to read the small signs of Seungmin's love. It was in the way Seungmin would take photos of him when he wasn't looking—catching Hyunjin's candid smiles, his expressions, his playful antics. Seungmin would never say much about the photos, but Hyunjin knew they meant something. They were Seungmin's way of preserving moments he found special.
Hyunjin would catch Seungmin's eyes on him, the quiet intensity of his gaze saying more than words ever could. It wasn't just about taking pictures; it was about seeing Hyunjin, really seeing him.
The base of their relationship was small, tender moments and not taking each other on dates in fancy resturants, buying expensive gifts, etc.. Gifts were simply handmade, random coffee dates or simply hanging out in the nearby parks. Small sweet gestures like holding hands when walking through crowded streets, letting each other lean when watching movies late at night. Hyunjin specially loved the way Seungmin would brush Hyunjin's hair out of his eyes as he snapped a quick photo, his lips curving into the faintest of smiles.
Seungmin's affection was present in the smallest of things, it wasn't loud. And Hyunjin loved it.
Seungmin, however, was not comfortable with intimacy or out-of-the-box skinship. It was all good till holding hands. Their only closest proximity had been their first kiss.
