I had a hard time falling asleep that night. Although we did keep each other warm, it was still weird being so close to Haru. More so after what happend between us.

After what felt like hours lying there and not being able to fall asleep, I finally stood up and put some clothes on. I slowly started to walk towards the water. After passing where Aang and Kyiosana were sleeping, I suddenly stepped on something. Kyiosana's bag was lying on the ground and some things had fallen out of it. I crouched down to get a better look at those things. I know I shouldn't have snooped through her stuff but something was telling me to. I picked up what looked like a brooch. I turned it around and saw a fire nation symbol. I contemplated what to do next. I though about asking her about it the next morning but it didn't seem like a good idea.

I put it in my pocket and continued walking towards the river. After reaching it, I sat down looking at the moon. I watched as the waves pushed and pulled. It felt so right to be near the water at night. Suddenly I heard footsteps. I turned around and got into a fighting stance.

„Just me." The chief adviser said putting his hands up.

„You scared me." I said lowering my arms. He came up next to me and sat down. I sat down next to him.

„What's on your mind?" He asked breaking the silence.

„Why would anything be on my mind?" He looked at me and smiled.

„I might not look it but I was once a fearsome fighter. I was the oldest son of the Chief and my father was a very respected man. He taught me everything he knew. My life was good. I met a girl too. I loved her. We were supposed to get married." He stopped talking and looked down.

„What happend?" I asked him.

„What always happens." He took a big breath and looked at me.

„Nevertheless, I knew love. I know heartbreak. And I surely know when someone is in need of advice." He put on a small smile. I haven't known him for long but he didn't seem to have been this compassionate.

„I don't know. It's just after the war ended, I haven't known what to do. I always focused on ending the war but I never thought about what I would do after. I tried going to different places but nothing feels right. And now that I have seen Aang again, it just reminded me of how lost I am." He listend to me talk.

„Is that the only thing he reminded you of." I was startled by his question. He noticed.

Look, I don't know what happened but dont think I don't notice the look in your eyes when you see him. I know that look. I once looked at my Kira that way." He is just saying things. He doesn't know the way I look at him.

„You're wrong." I hesitantly said. He smiled and raised his eyebrows.

„Am I?" I looked up from the ground and looked at him. I didn't know what to tell him.

„I won't push an answer out of you. You will find the answer by yourself." He then stood up and began walking away. After a few steps, he turned back towards me.

„Just don't hesitate when you do. Don't make the same mistake I did." With that he walked back to where he was sleeping and I was alone again.

It felt too confusing. A cold breeze brushed over me. I shivered at the cold. I hadn't realized how cold it would be at night. Some body heat would be good now. I stood up and began walking towards the others. Before I could make it I saw a figure walking around. When he saw me he ran up to me and put his arms on my shoulders.

„I thought something happend." Aang said with a panicked voice.

What, Why?" I asked him as he removed his arms from my shoulders.

„I woke up and didn't see you next to Haru. Where did you go?" He asked. His eyebrows continued to frown, as he searched for an answer in my eyes.

„I needed to clear my mind." He raised an eyebrow.

„Of what?" Funny he asks that question.

„Just someone." I turned around, not wanting him to see the blush growing on my cheeks.

„What? Who? Did someone hurt you?" He came up to face me again. I looked to the side, not really wanting to meet his eyes.

„No, Aang. No one hurt me. Just don't worry about it." He took my shoulders and practically forced me to look at him. He really was beautiful. I couldn't stop looking at his grey eyes. He snapped me out of it.

„How could I not worry? You've been acting so..different. I don't want you to feel like you have to hide things from me." He made it so hard to be mad at him.

„Im not hiding. It's just something I need to figure out on my own." After I said that another cold breeze washed over us. I shivered and he noticed.

„You're cold aren't you?" I held my arms with my hands.

„Haru was onto something with the body heat. Must be nice to be able to control your body temperature, huh." I jokingly asked him.

„Just a perk of being an airbender." He put his hands up and smiled. I love his smile. It's so unique to him and can always brighten my day. I continued to shiver. He looked over at the others where they were sleeping.

„We shouldn't wake them up." I looked back too to see them sleeping peacefully. He suddenly pulled me towards them. I quietly walked behind him as he held my hand. He then made a small fire of some wood that had dried.

I bet I'm hotter than Haru." He said as he started taking off his boots. It caught me if guard.

„You really are." Before I could stop myself I realized what I just said. He looked at me with a smirk. I blushed.

„Well- you know because- uh you're a firebender." I tried to save myself. He laughed.

„So, are you going to exchange body heat with me or not?" He asked me jokingly as he was done untying his boots. I got the message and began taking off my boots too.

„I'm not sure I got much to exchange." He just smiled and started taking off his tunic. I blushed and took off my layers too.

I was taking off my skirt when he was already done. I couldn't help but look at him. He had just matured so much in the time we spent apart. He was almost a man now. Physically. He looked at me too. He looked so focused.

After I was down to my bindings, I made my way over to him. He had laid out a soft blanket on the ground. I laid down and he laid down next to me. He pulled me closer and put another blanket over us. He pulled me even closer so that I was up to his chest. He was really warm. I put my head against his chest and blushed.

„How's that?" He whispered. I tried to control my breathing before answering. I looked up at him and saw him looking down at me too. I focused my eyes on his lips. He looked at me with such eyes that it made me weak. He got closer to where our noses were touching. I looked into his eyes on more time before focusing on his lips. I closed my eyes. I took in his breathing before he gently crashed his lips onto mine. I returned the kiss, deepening it. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he held onto my waist. My torso bent into his body like a puzzle. It suddenly felt ten times hotter. We finally broke apart when we needed to breathe. We panted not breaking eye contact. Then I leaned over and finally answered his question.

Im not cold anymore." I whispered into his ear after which I buried my head into his chest and focused on his heartbeat. It seemed to increase as I did that. His breathing calmed me. The combination of them both made me fall asleep without a problem.
