Katara
Unsurprisingly, it was very hot in the fire nation capital. Falling asleep felt like a difficult task I was assigned to do. So different from the South Pole. After tossing around for what felt like eternity, I eventually got up and decided to take a stroll outside. I was very thinly dressed, so I grabbed a silk robe on my way outside. I tied the red fabric tightly around my waist as I reached the door. After exiting, I spun my head backwards and breathed in the fresh air.

I made my way over to the pond and saw someone else had the same idea before me. I approached slowly as not to startle the person. It didn't work. He quickly spun around to face me. Nohrans expression softened upon seeing me.

„Why are you up?" He asked after calming his breathing.

„I could ask you the same thing?" I laughed as I approached the tree beneath which he has standing.

„Can't sleep. It all feels too... foreign." He hesitated with his words. I looked up at the moon smiling upon us.

„You'll get used to it, trust me." My encouragement didn't seem to bring him any peace. He abruptly turned to face me with a stern look on his face.

„You don't get it, Katara. I don't want to get used to it. It's all too much fire nation for me." I began backing up as he closed in on me.

„Where are you going with this?" His eyebrows shot up and his lips curled.

„Let's go, right now. Just us, let's leave this place. We'll go back to the air temples and forget about this place." My head shook on demand by his plan to leave.

„I don't want to leave." His head spun back and he twirled around as if to make fun of me.

„Come on, Katara! Look at this place." His hands flew out, pointing at every tree and every window. He suddenly came very close with his hands near my face.

„We are in a pit of snakes. Everyone here is fire nation. They are the snakes. Being here it's-it's poisoning me and by the sound of it, it's poisoning you too." I held my head up high and stood my ground.

„You're scaring me, Nohran." My goal was intimidating but my wording was rather off.

No-No! Don't make me out to be the crazy one. Remember what they did to your mother. How could you forge-„ My hands spawned to his chest as I pushed his backwards.

„How dare you speak of her!  Don't ever let her name escape your lips, ever again!"  My eyes locked onto his. He looked utterly insane in this light. What on earth came over him? I began walking away.

„Where are you going? Hey!" I ignored him and kept a steady pace.

„Oh, you're going back to your boyfriend, aren't you?" That made me turn my head to the side.

Did you forget that I am your boyfriend? Huh? You keep kissing and caressing him, so why don't you just get with him entirely? I'm no use to you anyway. He's a real airbender. I could never beat that, right? Well guess what? He doesn't want you. He doesn't want you, so you have to find a replacement for him in me. You're pathetic." My body turned to look at him entirely.

„This is over, Nohran." Zuko was right about him. I can't believe I let him treat me this way.

„Yeah sure, go. Now that you're rid of me, you'll have all the freedom you want to get your mighty Avatar. Oh wait.. He already has a girlfriend. I mean what did you expect? He's the Avatar, for spirits sake. He could have any girl he wanted. So why would he want you?" He was acting like a completely different person. His sarcastic tone made my anger rise even more.
