62. Mikael

We arrive at the party and he immediately leaves my side, few seconds later I hear his voice coming from backyard.

I walk outside to see the house is packed from head to toe with half of the people known to me, their is a live band? Drinks all around this is better than the arrangements at the school.

My eyes glances at the stage to see Klaus making a speech, I look around to see Bonnie is standing with Matt, Tyler is in corner cheering for Klaus, Damon's nowhere to be seen and Elena is hanging around by herself.

Rebekah is not here as well, which is kinda weird.

I walk over to Elena, "Oh hey Isla" she greets me dryly.

Kathrine

"Hello Elena. So great party-"

"We both know you know" she sighs making me smirk.

"Glad we are on same boat" I smile at her.

"We sure are-" she grabs a waiter and him to bring two bottles of beer.

"You drink for me, I need to be sober right now" I tell her, she shrugs her shoulder agreeing. The music starts to blast and my eyes instantly start to look for Klaus, "Hello sweetheart" he appears before us.

"Why are you so gloomy?" he pouts slightly, making me laughing which I quickly cover it up with a fake cough.

"I just don't like you."

She is playing Elena better than Elena.

"Well whatever you and your little gang is planning make sure you do your best."

"I don't know what you mean?" Kathrine fakes being clueless.

She plays Elena better than Elena.

"There is Bonnie the witch with Matt, there is annoying blonde with her ever-loving boyfriend and Damon is somewhere here, so whatever you are planning give it your best shoot" he smirks, "and one more thing if I somehow get killed Damon will go down with me, you see my hybrids have their command even in death, enjoy the party" he immediately vanishes.

"This is bad" I say without looking at her, "Yep, hold this" she hands me her bottle, "if anyone asks, Elena is in washroom" and she vanishes. I roll my eyes at her, throwing the bottle in trash can.

I walk towards the front door, to get some space but I am met with Mikael, "You are with Salvatore brothers I presume, will you please go inside and find where the owner of this house is?" He asks in a sickening tone. 

Seeing him alive and well made my blood boiled, every ability to process a thought goes out to the wind.

"What do you think you are doing girl?" he snarls at making me snap my head in his direction before any thoughts I punch him with all my might, a yelp leaves my lips as pain rushes through my fist and I look down to see my knuckles are busted. I look up at him in shock whereas he looks at me in pure anger.

Have I not transitioned? I look down and see my knuckles they dot heal. 

I still refuse to back down and raise my eyebrow challengingly at him making him growl at me.

"I want to kill you and take your blood" I hiss at him.

"And how you think you achieve that you pesky little human? However I will forgive your foolishness if you find a way to let me inside this house" Mikale looks in my direction, making me internally roll my eyes.

"Well well isn't it wonderful" Klaus walks in hurt of betrayal in his eyes clear as day. 

"Klaus listen to me-" 

"I have heard enough Isla" he growls at me before facing his father.

 "You are alone boy!" I hear his disgusting voice making me smirk.

"And now I will kill the only thing that makes your little friends." I hear Kathrine's whimpers making me internally cringe.

"I call your bluff father" Klaus challenges followed by Kathrine's fake grunts, "No!" Klaus yells in agony making me stop for a second, feeling like someone ripped my heart out. I quickly push through the crowd, "You have no one now besides the people you force to be-"

"What is going on here?" I hear the voice of the owner of the house, I snap my head up and look one of Klaus's hybrid holding onto Carol.

"No" Klaus whimpers, "Carol" Mikael looks at the hybrid who compels Carol. "Mikael would you like to come in?" she says in a whimper making my eyes widen.

Mikale lunges towards Klaus but I push him away so Mikael tackles me on the ground, "I don't kill humans but I am ready to make an exception" he bare his fangs and before I can push him away from me, Damon tackles Mikael on the ground.

"You don't touch my best friend" Damon grunts as Mikael pushes him off going for Klaus, However Stefan tackles Mikael and in the hustle Klaus take the dagger and stabs Mikale in the heart. Mikael lets out a scream as the stake and his body bursts into flame. 

"No, no, no" I mumble out before getting on my eyes. I try to take the stake out but I burn my hand in the process. 

"Klaus" Stefan breathes out. taking my attention away. 

"At least you were loyal till the end" Klaus frees Stefan, he turns to look at me with furry in his eyes ad he started to walk outside.

"Damon I-" I try to help him up, but he brushes me off, "Save it" he huffs standing up.

"Damon-"

"SAVE IT ISLA! WE ARE DONE" he shouts at me, making me flinch and vanishes before my eyes. I feel tears prick my eyes, but I refuse to cry.

"Why did you do it?" I hear Elena's small voice behind me.

I ignore her and I quickly make my way outside, cold air bitting my face. Before I can take another step, I am pushed down.

Some strongest creature I am.

I look up to see a very furious looking Klaus standing above me.

"I CANNOT BELIEVE IT I TRUSTED YOU, I LOWERD MY GAURD AGAINST YOU AND YOU WERE CONSPIRING TO KILL ME, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE EVEN WHEN HE WAS BURNING YOU TRIED TO HELP HIM" he yells in my face, I blink at him in anger but I bite my tongue. 

"IT WAS A MISTAKE GETTING CLOSE TO YOU, BECAUSE OF YOU I ALMOST LOST EVERYTHING" he whisper shouts and for some reason my heart breaks.

"I wish to kill you but it will be too easy, I need a reminder to never make the same mistake twice so" he leans down looking me dead in the eye before removing the ring from my finger.

"You will love me forever but I won't and you will suffer as I take another woman in front of you as my lover, just how close you are yet so far away as I am from freeing my family. You are dead to me and I hate you with every fiber in my body and you will feel that pain everyday" he whispers as I feel tears rolling down my cheeks.

I rapidly blink trying to focus my vision but as soon as it slightly gets better he is not standing in front of me.

"Klaus" I whimper, I let out a scream not caring about anything. My heart aches horrible as I sob in the middle of the street. I don't know how long I have been here for but my sobs finally turned into hiccups and I feel pain shooting up in my left side making me wince.

I slowly try to stand up with wobbly legs holding my left side, I grab my waist and see I am bleeding from the side.

"What the" I mumble as I look at the crimson liquid on my finger tips, my knees buckle but before I can fall, two arms wrap around my waist and I look up to see Elijha?

"Elijha" I mutter out in question as my vision gets blurry.
