68. Invitations

We make our way to towards old Lockwood property where Bonnie and her mother are trying to open the coffin.

While walking there the brothers have a heart to heart and how much they love Elena which I tuned out.

We make our way towards the cave.

"Hope the big witch and little witch got that open" Damon says.

"Somthing's gotta make this night worthwhile" Stefan says and I hum in agreement.

We see a flashlight and next to it unconscious Bonnie.

Stefan quickly aproches and kneels down next to her checking her pulse, "she is alive" he says with a breath of relief.

"Mom is still breathing, I can hear her" Damon looks at the unconscious Bennet.

"Guys" I point at the empty now open coffin.

"Well it's not gonna do us any, whatever was there is now gone" Damon lets out a groan.

As we all stare at the empty open coffin.

This got messier.

Whatever is suppose to kill Klaus is now out in the wild.

Stefan and Damon pick up the mother and daughter and take them to their home whilst I make way back to home.

Stefan was curious why I was going deeper in the woods instead of going back to my apartment.

I just told him I need a minute to realise that whatever we did was a waste and I need to be alone.

He didn't push much but I am sure he will bring it up again.

Next day Elijah was ringing the doorbell of my place. I make way down and see Atticus already attending to him.

As soon as he sees me, he looks at me, "It was our mother Ester, who was in that coffin."

My eyes widen like a saucer as I sit next to him.

I look at Atticus who leaves without saying anything.

I sit next to Elijah.

"Tell me everything" I whisper out.

"Our mother was locked in that coffin, when we saw her show up yesterday at the house we thought she was here to kill Nicklaus and everyone else, however she said she wanted us to be family again. Give us love and peace which we couldn't receive in the old world."

"Well that's is good isn't it? But why do I feel like you are not convinced?"

"My mother for thousands of years wanted us dead, she hated us specially Nicklaus and even in the grave she tried to kill Klaus and now when she is back and she is talking about she wants to make peace doesn't sit right with me. For this I will need your help- help of your talents because for what we have known a witch cannot be if they are a vampire but here you are proving that theory wrong, and moreover you are not only a witch and vampire but also a werewolf."

"Okay what do you need me to do?" I ask ready to help this man with anything.

"I want you to keep your gifts hidden, it will give us the edge. And how strong are you in spell work?"

"I cannot compete with your mother right now but I can protect you and your siblings from her magic. Basically I can play defence well instead of attacking as of this moment. But I am learning to get stronger everyday" I tell him honestly.

"Perfect then and if you can find any detail and hidden agendas. Can I trust you to tell me?" He asks and I nod without hesitation.

"Is there anything else?" I ask.

"Ah yes, my mother is hosting a ball today evening to introduce Mikaelsons to the Mystic Falls so I was wondering if you like to be my date for evening?" He asks extend his hand for me to take.

Without words I nod at him and place my hand in his. He kisses top of it, he grabs a paper bag and gives it to me.

"I would really like to see you in this" he says. He bows down and leaves.

Making feel all warm inside, not romantic kind but a grateful kind.

Elena calls me and asks me to meet her at the Grill.

Caroline and Elena are talking about they are invited to the ball how Esther invited Elena to talk privately and how Klaus sent Caroline a dress for the evening and asking her to save a dance for him however she said that she will not go.

At which my heart turned sour. So he is really going to do this and that to with Caroline.

"Careful Caroline, and Isla. It's all well and good till she stabs you in the back" Rebekah suddenly appears.

"What are you doing here? I know your mom's rules. No hurting the locals" Elena says with a sass.

Which makes me roll my eyes at her. She thinks everything is about her. Like Damon and Stefan everyone is after her.

She really needs to get over herself.

"Get over yourself Elena. It's not all about you" Rebekah rolls her eyes. Making me smirk before walking away.

Elena looks at Caroline and me in disbelief.

She really can't digest the fact besides Damon and Stefan people really don't care about her.

I think I can be best friends with her.

I see Rebekah walk over to Matt, and ask him for the ball. Which causes an irrational reaction out of Caroline.

She is just like Elena, she wants Matt and Tyler.

"What does it matter to you? You are dating Tyler are you not?" I say in bored tone making her shut up.

"What time is that stupid dance?" She huffs out in annoyance.

So she is willing to go to this dance not because she was invited but because Rebekah invited Matt?

"What about you did you get invite?" Caroline looks at me with a smirk, "I doubt it because no one really cares about you enough or think you are improtant enough."

I am done with this.

I finish my coffee, "I will see you at the dance Elena" I pay for my share, tip the waitress and leave.

I go back to my home and open the box Elijha gave to me. A gasp leaves my lips as I see the most beautiful dress.

I am 100% sure it's custom made. It's a black dress off shoulder full leaves dress. The corset thing is covered with dark purple flowers which spill down towards the skirt which is very puffy. With the dress box there was another small one. I am guess it's the jewellery.

I open the ribbon and see a choker necklace, it's a ribbon like with a purple stone pendant.

I quickly change into the dress and put on the jewellery, I keep my hair open in curls.

The dress fit me like a glove. I really need to thank Elijha for such stunning gift.
