49. Complications

I drive towards an old abandoned burnt two story house. I run towards the three silhouettes in the dark. Its Elijah, Stefan and Alaric.

"Where is Damon?" I stop myself in front of Elijah.

"He isn't here" Stefan furrows his eyebrows. As soon as he said that, his phone starts to ring.

Stefan walks away a little further.

"I was with Damon, I thought he would come here."

"What exactly happened? how did you lost Damon?" Alaric asks.

"Klaus took Caroline and Tyler for the sacrifice so we went to rescue them, then things got complicated" I explain. I will tell them about Damon's situation later.

"Damon went home, he said things got complicated. Also he got Jenna, he got Kathrine to lure her out of the house. He is going to use her as the vampire in the ritual" Stefan adds to the bad news.

Alaric tries to hold back his tears, failing miserably. After few seconds he wipes his tears and walks inside the house. Bonnie comes out of the house, making me explain to her everything.

"Why did he take Jenna?"

"A punishment for meddling" Elijah answers.

"Klaus was originally going to take Caroline as the vampire to sacrifice but Damon and Isla rescued her along with Tyler."

"Then we should go now, before Jenna has been sacrificed. I can kill Klaus myself" Bonnie says.

"Bonnie we have been through this, if you use that much power you will die, it is not an option" Stefan denies.

"Neither is letting Jenna die" she argues back.

I shut my eyes in annoyance, "I will help."

"How can you help?" Elijah asks.

Bonnie is not the only one who is a witch, I finally breath out.

"Isla?" I feel someone shaking my arm.

"Ugh" didn't I say that out loud?

"I-"

"There is no need to sacrifice yourself in place of Jenna, I am gonna give him a vampire he would want more. Me" Stefan declares, making everyone take a sharp breath expect of Elijah.

I hate it that I can bring myself to help anyone. Atticus voice rings in my ear he sternly told me I cannot tell anyone about my powers and history until I have full control over them moreover he warned me not to interfere the situation with my status and power. It can upset the balance of nature as I might screw things up, and. get everyone killed in the process.

Bonnie quickly does a locator spell, finding out that they are at Steven's quarry. When I asked them wether I can accompany Elijah with Bonnie. They all immediately shut me down but after arguing for minutes they all gave up and agreed.

"You will not leave my sight" Elijah warns me which I agreed to.

"Here" I hear an all too familiar voice, making me run towards the direction the sound came from. I see Damon walking with John who has a big box.

"As much as I hate to admit it he is here to help" Damon says rolling his eyes. John goes downstairs, while we stay updaters with Ric.

When Alaric tells Damon what Stefan has done he angrily punches the wall making him lose his balance. He is slowly losing his grip on things.

"Hey are you okay?" Alaric asks in concern.

"I am fine" Damon manages to spat out, walking outside.

I walk outside to him and he swings his arms around my shoulder. "Will you be able to okay to hold my balance?" he asks in a whisper to which I nod and leans almost all his weight on me.
