69. Waltz

I get out of my car and give the keys to the valet. The entire mansion is light up and decorated in fairy lights and looks like the entire Mystic Falls is attending this ball.

The doormen opens the door me and with a small thank you I walk inside.

The house is packed with people as my eyes scan my date for evening. I see Elena with both the salvatore brothers on her either arm, Rebekah with Matt and Klaus with Caroline.

"You look absolutely jaw droppingly gorgeous" I hear a familiar loud whisper from my side, and I think Klaus heard it because he is looking directly at me. With big eyes.

I tear my gaze away from and focus on Elijha.

"You look really handsome as well" I compliment him, and it is true. He cleaned real nice.

He extends his arm for me to take and without hesitation I loop my arm around his. He introduced me to people as we push further towards more crowded areas.

People where shocked to see us together specially Damon and Caroline.

Klaus walk towards us with Caroline hand in hand.

"Ah brother be careful of that one she likes to toy with people's trust and hearts" Klaus saying making Caroline snicker.

"Don't you worry brother, I know what's she's done and I am sure she must've had a good reason" Elijha looks at me out of the blue he raises his hand and tucks my hair behind my ear. Making me look at him, Klaus looked at him in anger, while Elijha kept smiling at me, "and to get my heart broken by such gem I would consider that an honour" at this he looks at Klaus before talking me away to meet other guests.

I can hear him growl I slightly turn my head back towards him, to see seething in anger his eyes laser focused on Elijha's hand. Without a word he abandons Caroline.

"I am sure right now my brother wants nothing more than for me to drop dead" Elijha whispers.

"I doubt it" I tell him as he gives me an amused smile, " but on serious note I did mean what I said."

I give him a questioning look.

"It will be an honour to get my heart broken by you" he says making my eyes widen however he doesn't pay attention to me and keeps greeting the guest as if nothing he said.

"I second that" I hear a familiar voice we both turn around to see Kol.

"You clean up nice" I compliment him.

"Thank you" he gives me a boyish smile, "I am glad you are here Kol, do you mind taking care of her. I need to attend someone, and please make sure she doesn't get any hurt in any sorts" Elijha says looking in other direction, I follow his gaze I see Finn approaching Elena.

"I am glad you didn't keep her all to yourself because if that was suppose to happen I was planning on stealing her" Kol lets out a chuckle offering me his arm which I take.

And without another word Elijha walks away.

"Thank you for everything you did for us, Elijha told me that you help undagger us" he breathes out in genuine gratitude.

"It's nothing I just thought it was wrong- to be gifted with gift of eternity and spend it locked away in a box while missing all the changes this world has to offer" I shrug. He gives me a million dollar smile making my heart swoon.

God all the Mikaelson brother are gorgeous except for maybe Finn.

Speaking of Finn, Kol started to tell me his history but I had to tune him out and focus on Finn and Elena.
