tuesday
10am"do you think any of these books will be in english?" i asked theo as we walked through the bookstore. today was my day to plan our day full of events, which would be full of shopping.
he chuckled, looking around the bookstore as we walked through. "i'm sure we can find a few." he replied, his hand on the small of my back as he led me through the aisles. we had both gotten dressed decently, as shopping could take quite a while.
we walked along the different bookshelves, my eyes scanning the spines for any titles i might recognize. most of them were in italian, as expected.
i was browsing through a display of books when i heard the sound of someone playing the ukulele. i looked over to see theo playing the ukulele jokingly.
i raised an eyebrow, laughing at the sight of him.
"oh, are you showing off now? you can play the ukulele?" i asked with a smile as i crossed my arms.
he chuckled, still plucking at the strings. he had a smug look on his face that i loved. "of course i can play the ukulele." he said, clearly trying to show off. "i'm a man of many talents."
i rolled my eyes. "can one of your talents be to find a book in english?"
he smirked, seeming to enjoy my reaction. he set the ukulele where he had gotten it from, his hand returning to the small of my back as we walked along.
"there's no need to get sassy." he teased. "i'm sure we'll find something you like."

we spent the better part of an hour browsing the aisles and perusing the different books. we eventually made it to the english books section.
i let out a small exclamation as i saw the selection of english books. there wasn't much, but there was enough to satisfy me. i picked up a few that looked interesting, holding the stack in my arms.
he chuckled at the large stack of books i had in my arms. "are you planning on buying the whole section?" he teased.
i swatted at his arm jokingly. "don't be a smartass." i said, rolling my eyes. i had always been an avid reader, so seeing books i could actually read made me extremely happy.
he laughed, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "i'm just picking on you, it's cute to see how excited you get over such a thing." he said as we walked towards the checkout.
"hey, don't tease." i said, faking irritation. "you know how much i love to read. if i could, i would take all of these books home and read through every single one of them."
"i don't doubt it." he said, the smirk still on his face. he was clearly enjoying teasing me. we finally approached the register, and i placed the books to be checked out.

STREETS OF ITALY
capri, italy
3pmtheo and i found ourselves walking the streets of italy, popping into stores on the strips and getting items here and there.
i was in my element, shopping had always been a passion of mine. i had already bought a few trinkets and souvenirs, and we were walking through a smaller boutique store.
"i'm in love with italian fashion." i said to theo as i looked at the gorgeous pieces they had.
"i can tell." he teased. "i don't think i've ever met someone who loves buying things more than you."
