i woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, i groggily sat up, wincing slightly as my muscles protested a little bit. taking in my surroundings, i found myself in an unfamiliar bed.

it took me a second to remember that this was theo's bed, and suddenly the memories from last night flashed through my mind.

the ringing sound continued to fill the room, and i realized that was what had woken me up. groggily, i looked around the bed for my phone, only to find it wasn't there. i then heard the ringing getting louder, and i figured it must be coming from my purse which was on the floor a few feet away.

i leaned over the edge of the bed to reach it, my legs still tangled in the sheets. i managed to grab hold of my phone, and once i had it in my hands, i sat back against the headboard and looked at the screen to see who was calling.

the name on the screen was lorena, my longtime assistant. i squinted at the screen, my brain was still a little foggy from sleep. i then answered the call, placing the phone to my ear.

"hello," i whispered as i got out of the bed, not wanting to wake up theo.

lorena's voice, loud and cheery as always, crackled through the speaker. "good morning! or afternoon-" she paused, and i could virtually hear the gears turning in her mind. "afternoon i guess it is." she finished. "look, alex cooper wants you on the 'call her daddy' podcast with cailee."

i slowly padded over to the kitchen so i could give theo his peace. the mention of alex cooper and her podcast caused me to wake up a little. "seriously?" i asked, leaning on the kitchen counter.

"yep, seriously. it's happening." she said, clearly excited for me. "she has you scheduled for tomorrow at 3pm, so your day is going to be totally packed. you'll need to be up early to do press and promo for the podcast." she explained.

i closed my eyes and groaned, the realization that i'd be having a long day tomorrow hitting me. "oh god, don't remind me." i mumbled, knowing that doing promo for podcasts and interview could be very time consuming.

lorena giggled through the phone, clearly amused by my reaction. "oh, don't complain so much. you love the attention." she teased.

i rolled my eyes, but a small smile played on my lips. "yeah, yeah." i replied, knowing damn well that i did love the attention that came with being a celebrity.

"anyways, i've already drafted up what interviews you're going to do before the podcast and will send them to your email in the next hour or so." she said, clearly still looking over my busy day tomorrow.

as i was speaking to lorena, i suddenly heard the sound of footsteps getting closer. i felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist, and i instantly recognized the touch. i smiled instinctively as i leaned back against a warm chest.

"mmm, who you talking to? and what's so funny?" a groggy voice said, and i turned my head to see theo hovering above my shoulder. my smile got even wider.

i couldn't help it, seeing him all disheveled from sleep made my heart flutter. "i'm on the phone with lorena." i answered, tilting my head back so i could see him better.

he grunted in acknowledgement and dropped his chin to my shoulder. his hands continued to fiddle with the hoodie i was wearing, and i felt myself get distracted by his touch.

lorena's voice suddenly crackled through the phone again, making me flinch slightly. "is that theo? did you spend the night? did you guys hook up?" she pressed.
