it had been two torturous weeks of being separated from him. but we had done our best to make it work.

theo and i frequently facetimed each other, catching up and just enjoying each other's company, even if it was only through a screen.

we had also sent each other plenty of flirty messages and photos, keeping the spark alive and making sure each other's desire didn't waver.

today was the day that i would be seeing him again. i leaned on my jeep, as i waited for him to walk through the doors.

i had even gotten dolled up for him, wearing a beautiful white slip mini dress and light makeup. i wanted to look my best when i saw his gorgeous face again.

as if on cue, i spotted him through the crowd of people. my heart practically leapt out of my chest, seeing him again after two weeks felt like a dream.

he had obviously seen me, his eyes immediately locking on me. i stood up from my car, a smile stretching across my face.

he began to walk faster towards me, his suitcase trailing behind him.

when he was finally in front of me, he dropped his suitcase on the floor before enveloping me in a tight hug. i hugged him back just as tight, burying my face into his neck.

he pulled back just enough so he could look at my face, but kept his arms around me. "god, i missed you." he said, his voice sending shivers down my spine.

i grinned, taking in his face. he was even more handsome than i remembered. "i missed you too." i said, my arms around his neck.

he glanced down to take in my appearance, a wolfish grin spreading across his face. "wow, you look incredible." he said, his eyes lingering on my outfit just a bit too long.

i laughed and playfully smacked his shoulder. "easy there, loverboy. don't want to jump me in the middle of LAX."

he chuckled, his grip on my body tightening just a fraction. "don't tempt me." he said, his eyes flickering to my lips.

"you're missing some people." i said as i looked at the airport doors.

he followed my gaze to the doors, a curious look in his eye. he looked back at me. "what do you mean?" he asked.

"kirsten? caine? don't tell me you forgot your own kids." i said as i crossed my arms.

he looked surprised, and then his eyes widened in realization. "oh, right. of course. sorry, i forgot to tell you." he said, a hint of guilt in his tone. "their mom made arrangements for them to get picked up later in the week." he informed me as he opened the jeep trunk.

i furrowed my eyebrows, feeling a little disappointed. "why didn't you tell me?" i asked as i watched him place his suitcase in the trunk.

he closed the trunk and turned to face me, slightly sheepish look on his face. "i forgot, that's all." he said, reaching out to touch my face. "sorry if you're upset about it."

i let out a small sigh, but still enjoyed the feeling of his fingers against my skin. i pulled away as opened the backseat doors, holding two gift bags. "i brought them goodie bags." i said.

his eyebrows shot up in surprise. "really? for what?" he asked, taking the bags and setting them on the back seat.

i shrugged, "just a little present for them, so they don't think i forgot they exist.  some art supplies and some snacks i know they like."
