Taehyung pov

I've stayed here for too long... I need to find a way out before they make their move. But if I leave now, it will be the end for everyone.

Just then, there's a knock at his door. Jaehyun walks in, wearing his usual smirk.

Jaehyun: "You've been awfully quiet lately, Taehyung. Keeping your distance from everyone. You wouldn't be hiding something, would you?"

Jaehyun circles Taehyung, eyes sharp, as though studying every reaction.

Taehyung : "I don't have time for petty suspicions, Jaehyun. If you think I'm hiding something, then prove it. Otherwise, I've got more important things to worry about."

Jaehyun's smirk widens, but there's a dangerous glint in his eyes. He steps closer, lowering his voice.

Jaehyun: "You know, the Parks don't keep traitors around. But we also like to keep our... allies close." (He leans in slightly.) "Remember that."

Taehyung watches him leave, his mind racing. He knows Jaehyun has been watching him, but he's not sure how much Jaehyun knows. The Park family is dangerous, but they're keeping him around for a reason, even if they plan to dispose of him later.

Park Family's Plans

Taehyung heads to one of the Park family's meetings later that day. He enters the room, eyes scanning the faces of those present. The head of the Park family still hasn't shown himself to Taehyung, making him uneasy. The other members, including Jaehyun, mark, ten and other key players, are gathered around a table.

Jaehyun: "We need to strike soon. The Kim and Jeon families are still holding back"

Ten : "yeah, If we don't act now, they'll take us out."

Taehyung stays quiet, but he's listening carefully. He knows the Parks want him to act as a spy, but he's also their insurance if things go wrong. If the Jeons and Kims retaliate, the Parks could easily use Taehyung as a scapegoat.

Jaehyun (eyeing Taehyung): "You've been very quiet, Taehyung. Any thoughts on when we should make our move?"

Taehyung : "The Jeons and Kims aren't going to move unless they're provoked. They're calculating, not impulsive. If you want to make a move, it has to be flawless, or it will backfire."

Jaehyun raises an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by Taehyung's calm demeanor.

Jaehyun: "Flawless, huh? You sound confident. Maybe you'll be useful after all."

Later that night, Taehyung is back in his room, his head spinning with all the new information. The tension between him and Jaehyun has been building for weeks. Jaehyun has been subtly threatening him, but Taehyung is holding his ground, knowing that showing weakness would only lead to his downfall.

There's a knock at the door again, but this time, it's not Jaehyun. It's one of the lesser-known Park family members-someone obsessed with Taehyung, standing on the door frame, smirking.

"You're quite the enigma, Taehyung. Everyone here is wary of you, but I can't help but admire your resolve."

Taehyung : "I'm not interested in your admiration taeil. I'm here for a purpose, and that's it."

Taeil steps closer, their presence unsettling Taehyung. But Taehyung remains calm, refusing to let this person's obsession break his focus.

Taeil: "Careful, Taehyung. It's dangerous to play both sides. The Parks might tolerate you now, but that won't last forever."

Taehyung: "Then you better hope they don't turn on me. It won't end well for anyone."

Taeil leaves, and Taehyung lets out a breath. He knows he's running out of time. He needs to find a way out before the Park family decides to strike-either against the Kims and Jeons or against him.

Back at the Kim Household

Jimin couldn't shake the uneasy feeling gnawing at him. His thoughts kept returning to Taehyung, no matter how much he tried to focus on the present. Could Taehyung really have betrayed them? It felt impossible to believe.

Suga, sensing the turmoil in Jimin's silence, spoke up. "You still think he's going to come back, don't you?"

Jimin's eyes flashed with irritation. "What are you trying to say? That I'm a fool for believing in him?"

Suga's expression softened. "No. I'm saying you're not the only one. We all know Taehyung. If he's still out there, he's fighting for us."

The weight of Suga's words settled over Jimin like a heavy blanket, wrapping around his doubts and offering a thread of hope. He wanted to believe Taehyung would come back-that there was still a chance. But hope felt like a double-edged sword, especially now.

Without another word, Jimin stood abruptly, making a move to leave. Suga reached out, as if to stop him or say something more.

"Don't, Suga," Jimin interrupted sharply, turning back to face him. His voice was firm, though it wavered just enough to betray the hurt beneath his words.

"We're only together because of the recent events. Don't find reasons to come near me."

Suga's hand dropped back to his side, his face unreadable. The tension between them felt palpable-an unspoken divide neither was ready to address.

Before either could say more, Jackson entered the room, his phone pressed to his ear. "Yeah, I'll see you later, Jinyoung," he said before hanging up, his casual demeanor clashing with the heavy air in the room.

Jimin didn't linger. He slipped past Jackson and made his way upstairs, leaving the two behind without a glance.

Jackson watched him leave, then turned to Suga. "My father's not helping," he muttered, frustration creeping into his voice. "He's refusing to say anything about the Parks. He knows something, I'm sure of it."

Suga sighed, running a hand over his face, the exhaustion in his eyes clear.

"Dad's angry, but honestly, he's just tired of all this shit. I'm tired of it too. Feels like... like all the karma is finally catching up to me."

Upstairs, Jimin stood hidden in the shadows, listening. His heart clenched at Suga's words, knowing deep down that Suga wasn't just talking about the situation-they were about them. Their unresolved past, the unspoken tension between them. It was all there, woven into Suga's quiet confession.

Jimin lingered for a moment longer, the weight of the room pressing down on him. He had hoped for answers, but instead, he was left with more questions, more pain. And yet, a part of him still hoped that, like Taehyung, things could somehow be fixed.
