The next day, you were determined to talk to Kinich about the kiss. It had been on your mind ever since it happened, but when he finally arrived, he acted like nothing had happened. Instead of addressing what was now a growing elephant in the room, he focused entirely on work. His usual serious tone filled the conversation, and you found yourself too embarrassed to bring it up directly. You kept waiting for him to say something, anything about it, but it never came.
By lunchtime, you realized you had forgotten to bring your lunch. You were standing in the break room, debating whether you should go out to grab something when Kinich found you.
"Forgot your lunch?" he asked, his gaze sharp but not unkind.
You nodded sheepishly. "Yeah... kind of in a rush this morning."
Kinich sighed, but instead of scolding you, he reached into his bag and pulled out an extra meal. "Here. I brought extra."
Surprised, you blinked at him. "You brought extra? Why?"
"Just in case," he replied, as though it was the most natural thing in the world. He handed you the food, and you felt a wave of gratitude wash over you.
"Thank you," you said sincerely. You were about to find a corner to eat, but Kinich spoke again.
"Sit with me."
