Words:2151 You set the food on the table, trying to shake off the lingering fluster from Kinich's earlier kiss. As you sat down, Venti slipped right in between you and Kinich with a cheeky grin, making himself comfortable. Kinich's expression immediately darkened, clearly not thrilled about the interruption, and he gave Venti a cold stare that could have frozen the wind.
Yae, never one to miss an opportunity to tease, leaned over with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "So... how did you two lovebirds get together?" she asked, her voice dripping with amusement.
You swallowed a bite of your food, feeling a sudden wave of awkwardness. You looked at Kinich, hoping he'd take the lead on this one, but he seemed more interested in glaring daggers at Venti, who was happily chowing down.
Venti, always the troublemaker, chuckled and waved his hand dismissively. "Oh come on, Kinich. Lighten up. I'm just making sure she's treated right."
Kinich's jaw clenched, and you could practically feel the annoyance radiating off of him. Before he could respond, Yae leaned in further, her smirk widening. "Oh dear, is he always this grumpy? Must be a handful."
You couldn't help but stifle a laugh, though you quickly covered it by taking another bite of food. "He has his moments," you said with a grin, trying to keep things light.
