You stood in the dimly lit alley, the weight of Kinich's gun in your coat pocket. The silence pressed in on you, the cold air biting at your skin. Every second felt like an eternity as you waited for the man to show up. Kinich's words echoed in your mind: "Be careful." He was nearby, hidden with a few officers stationed just out of sight, but you were the bait. You had to sell the act, make this whole thing believable.
Finally, you heard footsteps. The man approached, his shadow stretching long against the alley walls as he neared you. He looked rough, unkempt, and dangerous, his eyes sizing you up with suspicion.
"You the one who asked for the gun?" he asked, his voice low and gruff.
You nodded, keeping your eyes downcast at first. Then, you lifted your gaze slowly, letting the tears begin to well up in your eyes. You had to play this part perfectly.
"What did Kinich do to you?" he asked, a sinister smirk creeping onto his face as he studied your reaction.
That's when you let the tears fall, your voice trembling as you spoke. "He... he rejected me. I loved him... I still do. But he... he found someone else. Another girl. He didn't even care about how I felt. He just threw me away, like I was nothing."
You hiccuped, choking on your sobs, then slowly, the sobbing shifted. You threw your head back and let out a twisted, unsettling laugh. "But he made a mistake. A big one. He thought he could just toss me aside? No. No, no, no..." Your voice became manic, your laughter more frenzied as you took on the persona of a crazed stalker, obsessed with revenge.
The man's smirk widened. "Revenge, huh? I like it. That's the kind of energy we need." He pulled the gun from his jacket and tossed it at your feet. "You want him dead, right? Kill him painfully. Make him suffer for what he did to you."
You stared at the gun on the ground, your heart pounding in your chest. This was it. You had to play the role. You bent down slowly, picking up the gun and gripping it tightly in your hand. Your fingers shook slightly, but you steadied them, remembering Kinich's words: *Stay calm, follow the plan.*
You let out another crazed laugh, forcing yourself to smile through the terror bubbling inside you. "Thank you... thank you...!" Your voice dripped with deranged gratitude as you looked up at the man, your eyes wide and gleaming with mock insanity.
Then you threw your head back and laughed again—louder, more maniacal. "Hahahaha... hahaha...!! HEHEHEHEHAHAHAHA!!!" The sound echoed down the alley, a chilling noise that made even the man flinch slightly.
The man chuckled, clearly enjoying the show. "Good. Very good. Make him regret everything."
He spoke, you noticed a subtle movement behind him, just out of his line of sight. Kinich. He was in position, waiting for the right moment to strike. You just had to keep this going a little longer. Keep the act alive.
You gripped the gun tighter and looked at the man with a crazed smile, your heart racing but your mind focused. This was it—the turning point.
The tension in the air thickened, Kinich suddenly stepped out from the shadows, his expression cold and unreadable as he faced the man. His voice was calm, but there was an underlying menace to his words.
