The next day at the high school, Braedey was making his way along, having recovered from his ordeal with Asuka's piloting skills behind the controls of her Sukhoi Su-47 jet. He had been given a clean bill of health from Ritsuko, though she did advise to not go into any plane without his flight suit.
Braedey sighed to himself as he stood by the front gate. 'At least there's been no sign of Asuka-' He was cut off when he saw the redhead making her way to the front gate. 'Never mind.' He muttered.
"Guten morgen, Braedey!" Asuka greeted.
"Uh, yeah. To you too, Asuka." Braedey acknowledged back.
"What's with you?" Asuka now questioned.
"Oh, nothing. Just didn't expect you to be coming here to this school." Braedey answered.
"And just what is that supposed to mean?" Asuka questioned with a look. She then looks around. "Wait... where is the First Pilot?" She inquired.
"Excuse me. First Pilot?" Braedey inquired to Asuka in confusion. "Don't you mean Nick Jupiter?" What did she mean by that.
"No, I mean the First Pilot." Asuka countered back as she looks at the brunette. "What, are you an idiot or something?"
"Asuka, I have no idea who you are talking about, exactly." Braedey interjected. "I've only been in the EAF for about a month or so, and I still have no idea over all the details."
"Geez, and you were the one allocated to be a pilot in the first place." Asuka grumbled. "You should really consider opening a book every once in a while." With that, she walks away and heads off into the school, leaving Braedey to watch her go.
'Seriously... what's with her? But who is this First Pilot she's referring to?' Braedey thought to himself in confusion. He shook his head as he then had a thought. 'Today's schedule isn't too much to do, so I guess I can skip out for one day.' With that in mind, Braedey heads off to the airbase.
As he made his way there, Braedey then remembered there was a shortcut of sorts that'll lead him to the Imperium. He found what looks like an inconspicuous transformer box for a power station, but there's a door on the back that reads 'EAF passage'. He punches in a code, unlocking the door, and he goes in, closing the door behind him.
'Thank you, Misato.' Braedey thought to himself as he walks down the hall heading to the Imperium.
A few moments later, Braedey had made it to the Imperium. He could see everyone going about their day as they work on the machines and equipment around them, as well as prepping aircraft and other supplies for whatever could happen.
'Okay. Asuka mentioned about the First Pilot... but who exactly is this person?' Braedey thought to himself. He then snapped his fingers. 'The best source to go to is the person who's been here the longest...' He then stopped for a moment. 'Wait. My deadbeat uncle won't tell me anything, so he's out of the question. What about the Deputy Commander... No, can't try him since he's out of the country on business. Wait... Dr. Ritsuko! Of course!' He immediately goes off to find the doctor.
