"Jeez. You two really did go at it, huh?"

was Changbin's comment to seeing both Jisung and Minho in the infirmary when he got back.

Just a touch and the bruises stopped hurting, only leaving a general sense of tiredness and lightheadedness behind.

"Eat well tonight, mh?" Changbin said, directed at them:
"Otherwise my power will give you a headache you'll never forget"

All while eating and walking back to their room, Jisung staid silent.

He hadn't even noticed when his power had activated... but now, thinking back on it he was pretty sure he had managed to pinpoint it.

There was a specific moment when his excitement had turned into bliss. He had thought it was because he had finally managed to land a hit on his way more experienced teacher but no... it was because his power had activated.

"Why so moody, nerd?" asked Minho once they closed the door:
"Your frowning face is creepy"

Jisung was starting to get used to him so he didn't even react to the comment.

"Do you think I'll ever manage to control my power?" he asked genuinely.

Minho stared at him in silence for a bit then sighed:

"I don't know. But god, I hope you will. I don't want to be chained to you for the rest of my life, thank you very much"

At that, Jisung snorted:
"Yeah, neither."

Jisung looked out the window at the gorgeous full moon. A soft breeze caressed his tired body and he felt at peace.

"Will you help me learn?" he asked Minho.

"Huh? Of course I will, I have to. I'm your teacher"

But Jisung shook his head:
"I don't mean combat or blade work. I mean my power. Will you help me learn how to handle it on my own?"

"Yes, Jisung. Yes, I will."

His voice had sounded so soft just then...Jisung almost hadn't recognized it.

He had turned to the other just in time to see an amused expression fade into a grin:
"Besides, I really can't wait to get rid of you"

"Man... this guys sure knows how to ruin a moment..."

Minho sat on one of the training room benches, wiping sweat off his face with a towel.

Jisung's training had been going exceptionally well all through the past months.

He learned quick and worked super hard to correct his mistakes;
his level was at this point superior to the third year trainees.

As he looked at him practice the various forms with an insane conviction in his eyes, Minho wondered what was driving him forward.

"With a power like his and this rate of improvement, Chan will have to promote him soon..."

Minho couldn't deny, it made him angry.

This man was a prodigy.

Everything Minho had taken years to achieve, he did in months.

"And that power of his..."

The news of Jisung's incident had spread in The Mansion after one day Felix had mistakingly let slip that he had caused a house to explode with his power alone.

Since then, he had gotten popular with both the warriors and the trainees.

Some already called him <<the new strongest warrior of The Strays>>.

Minho risked screaming every time he heared it.

He hated Jisung violently.

He hated his extraordinary skills.
He hated the power that resided in him.
He hated how everyone loved him and praised him.
He hated how even his closest friends seemed to like him more than Minho himself.

But then...
as his teacher, he also couldn't help but be a little proud. A little impressed.

And when they were alone at night, he was the only one who heared him plead to his parents in his dreams.

The only one who felt his pain, saw his tears.

"Minho, Minho!"

The teacher snapped out of his thoughts and saw a smiley Jisung approach him with a fake knife in hand:

"Can we fight again? Please...?"

"Jesus, yes no need to talk like that. Gross." Minho said, pushing him away.

Jisung was also kind of...cute sometimes.

"Ugh, what am I even thinking"

"Stop holding the knife like you're in a slasher movie, nerd I swear to god you're hurting my soul"

"Sorry!"
