"No training nor missions tomorrow. You deserve some rest." were the words Chan had left them with the previous day.

So now Jisung and Minho were hanging out with the rest of the higher ranks group.

Huddled up in his leather coat, a soft scarf hiding half his face from the cold Jisung marveled at how, after the most recent events the normalcy of a simple hang out felt complitely out of place to him.

"We're gonna go get some clothes for Sunwoo, then we could go to the park and mhh... karaoke??" Felix had planned carefully, arm wrapped around Changbin's.

They seemed so normal...
Passerbys probably looked at them and thought of a group of students just out of their classes.

And instead...

Minho was avoiding him.
After that display at the infirmary it was as if he had recollected himself and now acted as if it had never happened at all.

"Too late" Jisung smiled under the scarf.

He had already taken the memory of that hug and stored it close to his heart. He would never forget it, ever.

Now he was walking behind him and beside Seungmin, the two bickering as usual.
Jisung focused on the sound of his voice and let himself relax.

"Minho saved me again... I survived my first mission too... But my power..."

He had heared both Sunwoo and Minho explain what had happened to Chan.

Surprisingly, he remembered bits and pieces himself.

The only thing the boss had seemed interested in was the fact that Jisung had recognized Minho and managed to talk to him even in what he had called a "feral stage".

Jisung instead had been horrified by Sunwoo's recollection of the events.
The way he looked at him...

He was scared.

Jisung's heart hurt, remembering that.

"Hey, you ok? You're making a face" asked Minho that second, appearing next to him.

"I'm fine" Jisung stated.

"Of course he was scared. I'm a monster. What did I think?? That a bit of combat experience would magically make me able to control my power?? What a fool..."

"Mhhh..." Minho clearly didn't believe him.

So Jisung faked the best smile he could:
"Karaoke then...?"

"Minho's such a good singer!" Felix exclaimed that second:
"I can't wait for you to hear him!"

"Felix." Minho hissed:
"Shut up."

"His voice expecially suits girl group songs so-" Seungmin chimed in then.

"Ughhh not this again..."

"BUT IT'S TRUE-"

Jisung couldn't help but smile at the scene, his worries not gone but put aside for the time being.

"At least Minho isn't scared of me..."

He sneaked a glance to the man next to him.

"Right...?"

Minho caught his eyes and glared:
"What? I don't care what you say, I'm not singing anything"

Warmth flooded Jisung's insides and a satisfied smile appeared on his lips.

"Right."

"Not even something easy like I dunno... What is love by Twice??" he teased, poking his arm.

Minho swatted him away:
"Nope, not in a million years"

"Not even-"

And as Jisung, Felix and Seungmin kept naming all the gg songs they could think of just to annoy him, the sun slowly set on the city, tinting windows orange and pink as the group headed for a popular karaoke spot.

When they entered their personal room Jisung had complitely chased the bad thoughts away and was laughing happily as Minho complained about the prices.

He had to admit: he really needed a normal day after that mission.

"ME FIRST, ME FIRST" screamed Felix, instantly snatching the microphone.

"WOOO! GO LIX!" Jisung exclaimed.

Felix improvised a silly bow, making him giggle. Minho rolled his eyes instead.

"How about a duet?" Changbin offered instead.

Even in the dim lights of that room Jisung noticed the slight change in Felix's demeanor. His lips pressed together, the grip on the mic tightened and his cheeks got slightly pink.

"That's a great idea!" he was saying before he could think.

Felix stared at him and Jisung gave him a little wink.

Soon, the duo were both on the stage leaving Minho and Jisung next to a very intrigued Seungmin, too busy snapping pictures of the lovebirds to send to Chan.

"Does Felix still have a crush on Changbin?" Minho suddenly asked.

Jisung kept his lips shut. Felix had trusted him after all.

But then Minho turned to face him, so close, way too close.
He had an interrogating stare, one eyebrow raised and his dark eyes seemed to already know everything.

Jisung let out a troubled breath as his heart beat out of his chest:
"Yeah..." he admitted.

Minho shook his head:
"He had told me he was over it ages ago... unbelievable"

Jisung was about to say something in favor of his friend but suddenly...

"Minho." he said, gripping his arm:

"Doesn't it smell weird in here...?"
